Weird...

So as soon as the trade deadline passes, he's back?

Im actually amazed that the Jazz and Grizzlies, and now probably even the Mavs, are actively, blatantly tanking and they still cant catch up to our team -- who has no reason to lose

This definitely helps me forgive Dumars for the Jose trade.

With Dejounte coming back and taking up a big chunk of guard minutes, Jose was going to get forced out of the rotation

I’ll still believe he plays when I see it with my own eyes. With the team going back to point-Zion I’m not sure what his role would be because we need to give Fears minutes off the bench at PG. Maybe Murray plays SG off the bench but I doubt it.

To put it bluntly, we have to play Dejounte to hope that he can rebuilt some trade value. We have to play Fears to develop him.

Jose is a better basketball player today than Jeremiah Fears, and it's always problematic to sit a superior talent to play weaker players. Trading Jose removes a possible source of locker-room discontent.

Yes, I think that he will play a fair number of minutes with Fears also on the court (just like Fears and Jose played some minutes together), but the true Point Zion minutes will be limited. Zion can initiate the action even when we have a PG on the floor.

Not weird at all once you realize he's been healthy for a while now.

He wanted a trade but had no market, so now he has no choice but to play to try to build value.

Exactly. He was holding out to try to force a trade, but he's such a negative asset right now that we couldn't dump him without paying an unacceptable price. Holding out longer now would damage his reputation and future earnings.

He was probably healthy enough to play a month ago.

Social media person thought this would shut us up or something? Make people believe nothing is wrong? This is Baron Davis 2.0 .

Jose Alvarado is a better player than Murray and he costs about 10 times less in salary and in headaches

Dejounte Murray is a great player. Sucks he suffered a significant injury. Kinda like the Boogie trade, we’ll never know if it would have worked

To put it bluntly, the ex all star and 19 y/o have unlimited potential compared to the 27 y/o bench player that has no future here.

We didn't trade Jose because we "have to play" DJ and Fears. They are way better than him and he won't get minutes because he's not the future. This shite is crazy.

We just had to trade the mediocre bench player so we are forced to play the all star. Y'all crack me up.

Nah man Jose is the real deal.. Remember when he stole the ball from Chris Paul those couple times in the playoffs?

He's also really good friends with Josh Hart and Brandon Ingram so he helps keep the locker room together

Well said, almost all our players with Jose gone want out of here. Once you accept this, health and their availability are easy to understand.
