My daughter has built a very large following on TikTok by posting her artwork. She doesn’t show her face or speak….she simply shares her art, and it has grown exponentially.

I’m currently talking with someone to learn more about possible opportunities, but I wanted to reach out here as well to gather ideas and/or hear from anyone with experience in this area.

What are some realistic ways someone with a strong, niche following like this could begin generating income? Just looking for a direction, advice about who to contact, finding promotions, or understanding the first steps toward monetizing a platform like hers, if that’s even possible. Mainly just want to see if it’s something SHE can profit from, even if it’s $20…she is 15 so not much is needed. But I think it’s a good lesson as far as her earning something for her work.

ETA: Over 100k followers, over 30M views over about a year now.

Sell her art to followers.

Easiest option

ETA: I've only ever seen people lose money to social media. Restaurant owners sink a stupid amount of money into "media managers" to increase their social media profiles and they get nothing in return.

If she's good at posting to social media platforms, tell her to go con some restaurant to pay her to post pics to their page. (I feel like I should elaborate: post pics to the restaurants page, not her page. These idiots pay an outside person to take pics of food and then post the pics on the restaurant's page)

Not sure how tik tok works but on you tube people are getting ad revenue.

Whether that’s reading their own sponsors or letting ads come up during their show.

Subscriber numbers are ridiculously high to start getting as rev. Sponsers will start approaching at around 5-10 thousand subscribers. YouTube revenue may start at around 50-100k subscribers

Maybe just leave her alone. She's liking growing because it's authentic and connects with other young people her age.

If it's not thirst trap stuff that sounds awesome for her. Just leave her alone and ask her if she needs any support.

Does he have “HVAC” tattooed on his arm and does sketchy electrical work and “fixes meters” ?

I find those videos comical at times.

I have 4 clients who make anywhere from 800k to well over 1mm.

One just makes random ads for various companies, the other is a “mom influencer” that just peddles useless junk, one who makes movie and sitcom reviews and the other is a “gamer” who streams himself playing various video games.

I make a very good living as a CPA, but sometimes I wonder if I should just quit and make useless content. More money and less hours.

I have always wondered how much these supposed social media influencers actually make. Especially the ones that are not doing just on a local level. The OT has had several threads about former WBRZ reporter Lauren Hawkins when she disappeared from TV. I follow her on social media because she is from Ponchatoula and I know some of her family. Well she popped a few months ago with a new gig doing the social media for camping world in Hammond. I never thought you could make a living just doing social media locally.

I wonder how much Kiran is making she went independent. It would be hard to amass a million followers in a general population of your covered area of 500k

I follow several off road accounts, working out, hiking, mental health people and I often wonder how much they earn.

I don't get anything yet, but I heard once you get 10K followers on FB, you can start making something. I got 9.1K

I'm just trying to get people to read my articles.

No. Doing some digging, the first step would list a contact. I don’t let her have any contact info on her profile. Honestly never thought it would reach this level. We never pursued anything like this. It’s just digital art. She draws it on her tablet and posts it.

It’s absolutely insane the amount of comments and the way some of these kids respond. Good and bad. She understands that the trolls are what they are. But the trolls are also what drives traffic too. So it’s a double edge sword.

I think I may take a step soon and just make her an email with her @ just to see if anyone reaches out.

She has followers and responses from around the world. Probably 14-21 age group mostly according to the numbers behind the scenes.
