If you got hit with the flu, what soup did you fix?

Got hit Thursday, I guess. Woke up Friday and felt like a truck hit me. Spent three days on the couch/in the bed.
But, did have a handy supply of beef stock I'd made using a pressure cooker. Seared some beef pieces, cooked some onion and garlic, added in the stock and chopped potatoes with seasoning, added the beef later with some cream, and it was damn good. Made it three times this weekend.
What's your fav flu soup?

Made some last week. Wasn’t sick. Just thought it sounded good for a cold week.

Tried this and it was very good. Would make a bigger recipe next time. I put cheese on top and top brown in toaster oven.

Wish Rama was still around. Their Lemongrass soup was the greatest soup ever for illness.
shite worked better than Sudafed for clearing out mucus.
If I was ever given 3 wishes by a genie, the first wish would be for that recipe.

Avgolemono (Greek lemon chicken) soup is my favorite, sick or not.
Will usually pick up a quart of it from Zorba's with some pita bread and nurse it for a couple of days while trying to kick the flu.

Lemon rice, dill, chicken, spinach LINK
This has been my goto for a couple years now. Herb-bright and delicious.

Tom Yum from my local Thai joint. It's fricking magic.

Arroz caldo, especially now that my local asian market carries calamansi juice.
Wife is feeling under the weather today, so making it for dinner tonight.

Sometimes, just a take-out Hot and Sour Soup from the closest Chinese place hits the spot.

My wife always wants Egg Drop Soup when she's sick. Quick and easy if you have chicken broth on hand.

Kay the Thai food lady at The Artist Loft on Saturday was at Rama for years. She has a lemongrass soup occasionally. I’m guessing that might be it?

Chicken noodle or Chicken Tortilla soup. If anyone is in Metairie, the newer Chinese restaurant called Bamboo has a soup that will clear anyone’s sinuses. I think it’s the egg drop soup. I had a taste of it from someone else and it was super spicy.

My friend Marisa's grandmother is a Holocaust survivor and this is her Jewish Penicillin recipe.
Jewish Penicillin
1 whole organic free range chicken, cut into 8 pieces and salted and peppered to taste.
Put chicken pieces in a large pot of water with an onion cut into 1/4's and a bunch of sliced green onions.
Boil the chicken for 8 hrs on a low boil. Skim the fat off the top of the water and skin the chicken pieces, leaving skin on the drumsticks and wings.
Add: two bunches of chopped carrots, a bunch of sliced leeks, chopped celery greens, couple stalks of chopped celery, dill, parsley, grated ginger, couple of bouillon cubes, turnip, zucchini, and anything else you have available that's fresh and healthy.. Boil the soup for an hour and add a couple cloves of chopped garlic and cayenne. Simmer for about 15 minutes longer on low and serve.
