I had shaggy hair in college for a bit, but I've been mostly high and tight for the majority of my life. This is a fairly tame mid-life crisis, but I have the itch to grow out my hair at age 41. Probably because I realize my days of having hair are numbered.

I have shoulder length hair.

My hair grows so fast that I'd have to get a haircut every 2-3 weeks when short or it would look like a mess. Now, I get a cut or trim every 3 months. It doesn't take much effort to keep up. I wash it every day, condition once or twice per week, and brush it in the morning. The main downside is that I looked trans AF when I shaved my beard off a couple of weeks ago.

Next comes the want for a Vette, a sport bike and an all new hip wardrobe to complete the "Midlife Crisis Package".

I heard that they can do a transplant, but the dingleberries on your head are the problem.

I am. Retired from the Army after 26 years a few years ago. Haven't cut it since.

On me, it's the ears and nose.

Depends on how you define "long", but I've kept mine somewhere between jaw length and collar length for well over a decade now.

I haven't had long hair since 1981 when I first enlisted in the Air Force. I've kept my hair short ever since, even in retirement.

I have good jeans when it comes to hair, my dad passed away in his 50s and he only had a few spots of gray. My mom is in her late 70s, she always colored her hair blond, but its currently at its natural color and its not entirely gray. My grandpa, my mom's pops had a full head of hair when he passed at 82.

I wish I could say the same for my eyes. Does anyone else experience poorer and poorer eye site as they age?

My 80 year old uncle has shoulder length hair now. During the swinging sixties he was working for the Man and had to look accordingly. Now that he's retired I guess he's channeling his inner hippie.

I've always had to have my hair cut for work, above the ear, off the collar, now that I don't have to do that anymore my hair won't grow long if I held a gun to its head

ETA: I was always subject to random drug testing too so I never partook of anything and always swore that I would try a few things when that was no longer the case, now I don't even have the desire for that
