I don't know how it works for feds... but isn't it normal to put officers involved in a death on admin leave while the incident is being investigated?

Seems very abnormal to NOT place them on leave.

All this Hollywood BS when someone gets in a shootout and then goes right back to work is not real.

Seems pretty standard.

Shouldn't they be? Officer involved shootings normally result in leaves until the investigation clears them.

They didn't do it for the guy who shot Renee Good, I don't believe

*ETA: apparently my light googling that created indeterminate results did didn't properly indicate a 3-day suspension.

And as usual, you are wrong. Yes, he was placed on leave. It's SOP for these types of events.

They are getting paid six figures to compensate for the emotional trauma of being called a “bad person”.

. Friend of mine was a federal who had a 100% justified shooting of a deserving target. He was on administrative leave for right around 6 months.

They deserve a much needed vacation. They deserve promotions and raises and statues in their honor. I hope they sue the Pretti family for all the go fund me money.
