It doesn't matter what houses of congress you give them. It doesn't matter the size of the majority they possess. They accomplish nothing. It's more important that individuals within the party die on whatever dumbass hill of their choosing than to advance the agenda of the party and the American people. Don't get me wrong, democrats are bat shite crazy, but they aren't lazy. The GOP is just incredibly lazy.. Imagine where we would actually be today if Pam Bondi's sorry arse had half the work ethic of a Marco Rubio, and stayed off television.

You’re sooooo close to finding the truth that both “parties” are different sides of the same coin, and want endless wars, a nanny state, a deep state, continuous inflation, more debt, less freedom.

Keep. Digging.

What legislation should they have passed?

You have to remember that the GOP’s biggest fear is that Trump will be successful. Not because he’s Trump but because he’s a continuation of the impulse you saw in the Tea Party.

And nothing poses a more existential threat to Republican lawmakers than Republican voters.

They're not lazy, they just do not like leading. They would much rather have democrats in charge so they can just complain about how things are being run instead of actually standing up to democrats and fixing the problems. That and most Washington Republicans are on the take and benefit greatly from liberal policies so there's no real incentive to change things.

It isn’t mind numbing. It is intentional.

When Dems are in charge all their pork gets rubber stamped. It's lucrative and is why they're in Congress. Don't ever think they go to serve their constituents

That plus the excuses for doing nothing won’t fly anymore.

The most important agenda for any politician is to get reelected. That's in the Economics 101 Textbooks from years ago and it's never change. Doing their job is not in the top 5 for any politician. That is all. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

American politics in a nutshell is one party is batshit crazy and evil, and the other is completely incompetent.

Campaigning on fiscal discipline is not a winner. The public wants its freebies and they want the rich to pay for it. Spending is always more popular than austerity.

I’m not sure this is true. Dan Crenshaw gets elected over and over again for example.

The truth is the reason we get so many sound bites and finger wagging rage clips promising action that they then use influencer cucks like Dan Bongino to promote is because that’s enough to placate 90% of GOP voters.

Trot Crenshaw out in a cowboy hat, have him talk about his military service, and he wins in a landslide.

It's a feature, not a bug. Which is why the stuff like what Massie is pulling is so infuriating. They're punting to the Dems for mid terms. Secretly they're wanting to give the Dems the mid terms so they can impeach Trump and run the clock out.

A full year of Trump’s final term is already over, and congressional Republicans have only confirmed 15% of Trump’s federal prosecutors. Democrats are burning down cities, and Trump only has 1 out of every 6 of his prosecutors confirmed.

This is what I mean when I say we’re all being forced to play within a completely rigged justice system that has been corrupted and now exists only to protect itself.
