How many more years before people stop asking questions on message boards?

The one guy from last week had the little dog that was taking way more leaks than usual, and he was concerned and asked the board if something might be wrong with his dog. That's when I started thinking about this. Why not just ask Gemini or Grok or ChatGPT, or ask all 3?

People giving advice, for better or worse, has always been a big part of message boards. It'd be sort of sad if that went away. But life happens fast sometimes.

Should've saved Chicken the bandwidth and done this instead.

ChatGPT won’t call you a cuck bitch and say he slept with your mom.

So probably never.

Same reasons youd like to talk to a real representative than a frickin robot on a phone call. There is real value to human anecdotes and thinking, I know, insane bro, really makes you think.

People always asked the board before asking Google. Then bitched about the TD search function that they never used.

Gemini still doesn't have the answer to everything, apparently

AI will never have the depth of personal introspection that's gathered from trial n error, success, failure, personal triumphs, first hunts, childbirth, death of parents, death of children, pets, and all the other lesson's you get from having lived live them and not some machine generalized picture book view.

The author simply doesn't have a heart beat, felt someone else's, nor able to create one for themselves.

Nothing beats actual human experience. The human mind and heart will always be superior to AI.

If I want to fix my car, I want a technician with years of experience and knowledge to my specific vehicle. If I want music lessons, I want someone with years of experience on that particular instrument. If I want a religious experience, I want a pastor.

Nevermind how AI lacks compassion and personality. I’d rather not use self checkout, and I prefer to order food from a person, not a kiosk.

Unfortunately, you're overweighting personal experiences assuming it's built on facts and not anti Ford/Chevy/Samsung/LG/Dodge BS that most of the OT has been filled with their entire lives based on anecdotal evidence. This is especially true in the OT and Travel, a bit less so in Tech. Yeah, you love Delta, because you live in Bumfark, Mississippi, and have almost no other choice than Delta and you like the fiesta mix.

Yes

But that's what I'm wanting. The personal recollection. If I was really interest in fact based knowledge why would I come here?

eta: Your after the differences in opinion hashed out.
