Clearly she hasn’t talked to a lawyer, because there is no way they would have allowed her to post that.

This post will also negatively affect any recourse she might have had. And in fact the business probably has a good chance at a suit against her.

For what? She posted pictures and videos of the rat infestation at the restaurant. How is that actionable?

Because of this:

Both were in the wrong, but the man got to keep his job because the owner is a sexist, lecherous creep.
We forgot that she had all of the social media passwords though...

It’s intentionally defamatory and she accessed their social media to post it.

I hate rats, especially if they are anywhere near the food I will be eating.

I refuse to ever go back to Camelia Grill because of rats. Late one night I'm sitting at the counter with my wife and we were on the side counter where people had to walk behind us to get to the restrooms and I had a clear view of the entire length of the food prep area.

In no more than 5 minutes of me sitting there drinking my coffee, I saw a half dozen rats scoot out from under the kitchen storage and cooking areas while the cooks and waiters were working and cancelled my order, paid for our coffee and vowed to not return.

Had that same experience in 1985, and kitchen worker not washing hands after using bathroom.

I'm not sure that they will, but she put herself in a much worse legal position.

She obviously did not have permission to use social media passwords for the purpose of posting things like that, and they can take legal action against her for doing so. Unauthorized Computer Access has specific statutes that control it. She could be sued for defamation and confidentiality as well.

Depending on what makes the owner sexist and a creep, she could possibly have a case against him as well.

Sounds like a weak case for what is a social media account.

Can you win a defamation case when there is photo evidence of something?
