quote:

"I was worried about raising our kids in L.A., in the culture of Hollywood," he told the magazine. "I don't want them to be walking around worried about paparazzi. I don't want them being compared to somebody else's famous kids."

Growing up away from the spotlight, in France, "they're not on their iPads, you know?" he said. "They have dinner with grown-ups and have to take their dishes in. They have a much better life."

Representatives for George Clooney didn't respond to The Associated Press' request for comment Monday.

It wasn't immediately clear whether Clooney retained his American citizenship. Amal Clooney was born in Lebanon and raised in the U.K. The twins were born in London.

That's funny this guy doesn't want to raise his kids in LA. There are plenty of places in the United States where he could raise them away from the paparazzi and limelight. Let's hope he shuts his pie hole about American politics while living in his gated villa with armed guards. Maybe the Muslims will behead him last.

He doesnt want his kids on iPads and wants them to bring there dishes in? And this jabroni thinks France is going to fix this? Just spank them until they do what you tell them to do, like a good DAD does!

Ask Princess Diana about the paparazzi in Europe.

Also:

"they're not on their iPads, you know?" he said. "They have dinner with grown-ups and have to take their dishes in. They have a much better life."

This can easily be accomplished in America.

Meh. I’d trust Ireland before France. Love that place and the people are the warmest I’ve met.

This shite right here is why most people despise Hollywood/celebrities. There is nobody more out of touch with reality than these people.

Her death notwithstanding, France has some of the most strict paparazzi/libel laws in the western world. Celebrities and public figures have significant privacy protections and “truth” isn’t a blanket defense. I imagine that, combined with just being less known there, is what he’s talking about.

2 things:

1. Clooney himself curated and contributed to this "culture" and made BOATLOADS of money from celebrity obsession.

2. People increasingly care less and less about George Clooney and ESPECIALLY do not care about his kids. So the idea that his kids would be chased around is ridiculous. His kids are nobodies although Im sure theyll be granted a great life off of their names.

There will never be movie stars ever again.

You can visit France. Work in France. Live in France.

But you'll never be French.
