How do you think Haulcey stacks up against other great safeties from LSU?

Of course we only have one season to go by but as far as actual ability I think he is up there with some of the greats

Definitely one of the bright spots from this year's roster

In terms of pure ball skills, he’s one of the best I’ve watched in P&G. He’s a baller

It's hard to compare a one year guy to the greats, but he had a great season. I wouldn't put his name on a list with guys like Jamal Adams or Grant Delpit

He’s right there with the best, like what someone else said….it just feels weird that we went out and got him for 1 year.

I do think he’s exactly what was needed for Spears to see. Day in and out, film study, practice approach, and communication.

Wasn’t an Adam’s, Reid, Delpit, Honey Badger (if you put him there) type player but the next tier down, I’d put him right above like a Jacoby Steven’s type. Woulda been nice to have him for more than one year then he might have a case for something better.

He's a dude but its hard to guage a 1 year guy versus mainstays like Tyrann, delpit, Jones, etc.

I’d have no problem mentioning him with the greats given how poor safety play has been in recent seasons.

Jamal Adams' 2016 season:
12 GP
76 Tackles
7.5 TFL
1 INT
4 PBU

Eric Reid's 2012 season:
13 GP
91 Tackles
1 TFL
2 INT
0 PBU

Grant Delpit's 2019 season:
14 GP
65 Tackles
4.5 TFL
2 INT
7 PBU

AJ Haulcy's 2025 Season:
12 GP
88 Tackles
0.5 TFL
3 INT
4 PBU

Make no mistake about it, LSU was really bad as a team this year but Haulcy and Delane for that matter 100% belong in DBU lore.

Playing that role in the pussification era of football makes what he did even more amazing. I would love to have seen him in the pre-targeting era. He wouldve destroyed some people.

He is a good one.
If he, Delane and Whit and West Weeks play, they don’t score >14 points.

Adams hurt himself. The receiver played the rest of the game…

If you mean Jones, yeah, he did. He wasn't out for long though.

Haulcey was a lot more than that.

You could no doubt tell the difference with #2 out there vs. Haulcy!
