If Ole Miss beats UGA on Jan 1st, does Lane make a move on a different QB ?

So of course, tampering, is not supposed to be happening, wink wink... so if he has no definitive info on Chambliss or Simmons, does he just move on to another portal QB .. and RB ?

Waiver for Chambliss being denied may affect it but I can assure you Ole Miss isn't beating UGA either way

Simmons was supposed to be the Ole Miss starter this season, but injury allowed Trinidad Chambliss to take the job and run with it.

That sets Simmons up to move on, and he could reunite with Kiffin.

Also intriguing with Simmons: He's a really good baseball pitcher, too.

"Lane Kiffin invested two years getting Simmons ready to be his starting quarterback at Ole Miss, but the Florida native lost his job to Trinidad Chambliss after going down with an early-season injury," Navarro writes. "Simmons would also help bring some of the other Rebels with him to Baton Rouge."

I wasn’t that impressed with Simmons. Chambliss was way better. Rather look elsewhere in the portal for a QB.

Simmons dad seems like he could be a headache. Would rather Chambliss anyway. He’s proven it on the field that he can be the guy. Question is at what point does CLK make the call to the next guy on the list if the waiver decision doesn’t happen soon.

The waiver was supposed to have been decided 2 weeks ago. What’s the holdup?

Don’t count on Chambliss.

I agree he could choose to declare to the NFL draft as far as we know. It looks like a weak QB class this upcoming draft.

Why would you be so sure? Georgia was very lucky to steal a win the last time, Ole Miss dominated most of that game.

LSU fans: we just hired this amazing coach who turned Ole Miss into a championship contender!

Also LSU fans: Ole Miss sucks. They aren't a real contender and will get blown out

You all handled Nuss' dad and didn't have any issues with his demands. Just because he wasn't loud doesn't mean he wasn't the one in control. I remember Nuss didn't play against K-State. Who do you think was behind that decision? This season, after being benched, Nuss didn't finish the season because his father told him not to play another snap. Delane had a similar injury, but he fought through it, and now he's on track to be a first-round draft pick. You guys don't want to have these real conversations.

Biggest reason to me is Golding vs Smart. HUGE mismatch in favor of UGA.

I think most people have the opinion that they have no chance due to Pete Golding

Ok. First, if you have any real proof of anything Doug did regarding his son at LSU, please cite it. Has seemed like just speculation.
Second, supposing it were true, surely you can see the difference between working tactfully behind the scenes vs posting on social media, going on podcasts and doing interviews?
