Honestly, June Jones is a better mind than both. We just couldn’t afford him.

Payton should have went to more Superbowls with that team. Payton is like the Aaron Rodgers of head coaches....

If Kiffin was as good as Payton he’d be in the NFL

People should just accept that different coaches are better suited for the differing levels … there’s some incredible offensive minds who innovated and chose to stay at the high school level. Payton’s style has always been suited best for the NFL game because of its reliance on high attention to detail and recognition. Kiffin is best suited for college with more broken down quick decision processing coupled with his ability to read matchups..

NFL vs. College, so apples to oranges, but Payton won a Super Bowl, so you’d have to give it to him. Although Payton is 11 years older than Lane so Lane has a path to do it.

He's probably going to one with the Broncos soon.

I'll go with Kiffin.

Productive offense at multiple schools.

High roster turnover and still productive.

Has taken unknown and low talent QBs and developed them into winning QBs

Look what he’s done with Nix and Broncos. Payton should’ve been to at least three super bowls. 2011 Saints were arguably one of the best to never win one.
