But does anyone think they have a snowball’s chance in hell?

It's ridiculous there’s a 17.5 spread in a college playoff game..

It's Ole Miss. Of course there's a chance.

I’d not be surprised by any outcome in this game. Tulane probably come in very confident given the turmoil at Ole Miss. Ole Miss faced a great deal of distraction and staff movement

Absolutely, simply because I think Jon Sumrall is a better coach than Pete Golding. And with this much time to prepare and a previous game to correct mistakes on, I think they can definitely keep it close. I wouldn't pick them, but it wouldn't shock me if they won.

They lost the first matchup 45-10 and it was a trap game for Ole Miss. I’m sorry but I think everybody is overthinking this game cause Lane isn’t coaching. I think it’s free money to lay the points with Ole Miss. I kinda think the same with James Madison and Oregon.

As noted before, I'd want the Greenies to win by a horribly blown call on the last play of the game. That way they couldn't "celebrate"a questionable win and the Black Bears would be pissed the whole off season.

Snowball’s chance in hell, sure.

Tulane has a much better passing game than they did the first matchup. Retzlaff has improved a lot. The Wave offense should be able to score points this time

Ole Miss is still the better team and has superior athletes. That didn’t magically change over the last couple months

Tulane will have to play a perfect game and get some mistakes from Ole Miss IMO

Tulane has a much better shot than JMU. Sumrall and played to win the first game and got stopped on some 4th downs that made the score look worse than the game was.

That said, unless they get Retzlaf running better this game or Ole Miss coughs the ball up, I have a hard time seeing them keeping it within 2 TDs

I find the spread to be kind of surprising with Ole Miss' chaos.

So, would the spread be 31.5 without Ole Miss' chaos? Or are the books just not adjusting the spread at all due to Ole Miss' chaos?

no
It'd be in that 21.5 points range.

I know Tulane is losing their coach as well, but things seem a little better there than what happened to Ole Miss. Certainly wouldn't surprise me if they come out flat and Tulane makes a game out of it.

It also wouldn't surprise me if Ole Miss blows them out again. That said, I don't think Tulane plays as bad as they did the first game. I'm not much of a bettor, but I'm thinking of putting some money on Tulane to cover.
