Lsu to pay a 100 grand bonus to FW for the bowl win

According to a news report last week, “If Wilson guides the Tigers to a win over Houston in the Texas Bowl, he will receive a $100,000 bonus.”
Could this have a bearing on why he is being allowed to coach in the bowl game?

If JJ starts, we win. No idea why Frank doesn't start him. We have enough film on MVB to know what we have. He needs a lot of off-season work to be ready for next year.

MVB nearly guided us to a victory against 8th ranked Oklahoma @ Oklahoma. As long as he doesn't take 2 series to "settle in" and runs smarter, we will be OK.

I'm not saying MVB is a great QB by any means, but he had multiple games last year where he threw for 240+ yards vs. SEC opponents. It's the overall approach/structure of the LSU offense that is the problem. NO QB could have success in this offense. Everything about it is horrible. They have basically one run concept and clearly any passes between the hashes are outlawed. It's really hard to score points when you have one run play, one roll-out pass play, and 17 WR screens to nowhere.

I doubt he'll be on LSU's roster next year. Still, good for him for playing in the bowl game. Many players in his position would just opt out knowing he was moving on (see Max Johnson in 2021 as just one example)

Probably because he's not a college QB. He would essentially be a slightly better version of Kirklin. And we all saw how well that went.
