So the team that beat them would get bumped for them because…reasons? That seems easy enough anyway. Just keep the same pussy schedule they’ve had forever, let the media talk up Freeman for some reason and make sure they start in the top 10, only lose to real teams a couple times and you’re in!

That’s a ridiculous addendum. Also makes sense the committee delivered this “frick you” to Notre Dame, if true.

I'm a practicing Catholic, and I cannot stand Notre Dame for this very reason. They want special privileges for themselves, but they won't bend in any way for the betterment of the game.
Lest any of you younger guys think this is something new...they've been getting special privileges and "provisional points" in the polls since the dawn of college football. It was BS then and it's BS now. The only difference is that they actually had championship-caliber teams up to around 1990, and Knute Rockne ain't coming back through that door.

Why not just have the Big 10 and SEC merge. Let them play against each other.
