Why does everyone care about the "National Media Reaction"?

I keep seeing people posting upset with what media members are saying.

We are the bad guys now. EMBRACE IT!

Troll them when we win. Tell them to STTDB when we lose.

We are the villain! That's going to be the narrative going forward. Embrace the hate.

I don't care what the media is saying. I really just don't give a frick because I know LSU is about to go on a run for at LEAST a couple years.

I'm just living in the moment, if you will.

I don't care, but it is annoying like a gnat that buzzes around your face.

National media is all ignorant on this case

Contrary to popular belief, most of the nation doesn't care enough to make LSU the "villain". And frankly, any criticism of LSU is misguided. LSU acted in its own best interest. The "hate" if any, is directed at Kiffin. But if he can live with it, who cares?

Personally, I couldn't care less about the opinion of any pundit. It's no more relevant than the opinions of anyone on here. Perhaps that why I don't watch "Game Day" or any talk shows like it. They're boring. Just show me the actual game and the result. Everything else is immaterial

So the same media that has for the last several years been bloviating to pay college athletes for their time spent on athletics are now saying that coaches shouldn't be doing the same thing in trying to get what they can? Yeah, frick the media.

The MSN has to bitch about something. LSU today something else tomorrow.

That how they eat up time and get clicks.

They also pretend to be soooooo intelligent and knowledgeable.

Thankfully, our recruiting pool is in our backyard, and NIL makes national perception not mean as much anymore. We’ve gone through this time and time again.

Everyone thought Miles was an idiot.

When we “hired” Herman on Thanksgiving in 2016, Mark May trashed us at halftime in the A&M game for announcing it while O was still coaching—because he was America’s sweetheart.

When we hired Brian Kelly, everyone hated us for poaching America’s sweetheart Cinderella playoff Notre Dame team. Marcus Freeman was also America’s sweetheart.

Now this. There’s always an initial blow, then life goes on.

I care to the extent that it has provided endless entertainment and free advertising for LSU football over the last few days.

Even media members who don't cover college football have been screeching.

You completely underestimate fans and media in college football. Do you remember year one of Brian Kelly until he beat Nick Saban? Do you remember after the FSU loss? Do you remember after the Tennessee loss? When people hate your coach, it permeates to your program.

However, IDGAF! I want to be the bully.

I honestly don't care about what the national media thinks, especially ESPN.

I personally don't give a shite what the National Media says.

I realize that L. Kiffin handled the Ole Miss situation very professionally and absolutely "did it the right way".

Most of the National Media doesn't realize Kiffin is not the same guy he was 5 years ago.

I haven't watched or listened to one minute of sports commentary related to Kiffin to LSU.

I'm personally sick of the talking heads saying he "abandoned his kids." frick all that. Players today are pros. Everyone in the Big 4 conferences are mercenaries who will leave for better offers. Coaches and players. This is all business now. Paul finebaum can eat a dick.
