Why does everyone care about the "National Media Reaction"?

I don't care what the media is saying. I really just don't give a frick because I know LSU is about to go on a run for at LEAST a couple years.

I'm just living in the moment, if you will.

So the same media that has for the last several years been bloviating to pay college athletes for their time spent on athletics are now saying that coaches shouldn't be doing the same thing in trying to get what they can? Yeah, frick the media.

I care to the extent that it has provided endless entertainment and free advertising for LSU football over the last few days.

Even media members who don't cover college football have been screeching.

You completely underestimate fans and media in college football. Do you remember year one of Brian Kelly until he beat Nick Saban? Do you remember after the FSU loss? Do you remember after the Tennessee loss? When people hate your coach, it permeates to your program.

However, IDGAF! I want to be the bully.

I honestly don't care about what the national media thinks, especially ESPN.

I haven't watched or listened to one minute of sports commentary related to Kiffin to LSU.
