When I was at LSU (over 10 years ago). They used an archaic software for basic functions like scheduling, housing, paying tuition. It was a miserable experience.

You don't know what REGGIE is/was. You want to talk about archaic? Try re-dialing from your phone for hours on end to get into REGGIE to register for classes.

My kid is still trying to choose between 3 schools and we have sent housing deposits to all three.

FIeldhouse was crazy. Then I sat for a day on the PMAC floor waiting for a speech 2060 card to be turned in ... finally got it but geeze that was awful.

Reminds me of the time when Kramer got a new phone number that was one digit off from the Moviefone number.
I am glad that by the time I went to Nicholls. Nicholls pretty much had everything computerized with the advisors key in your schedule on a terminal window in their office.
Only thing I had to do was visit Elkins to activate my schedule and and sign some paperwork before the deadline.

I was just about to post this. It started a grand road trip between me and a dude from Bogalusa at the end of Spring semester. Us standing in the union, and him ecstatically saying, "F as in FOX!" (ETA: REGGIE used to tell you your grades over the phone before they got mailed) repeatedly before we got kicked out of the dorms for break and went driving across Texas in an un airconditioned station wagon during the summer.

You have the easiest entry standards in the SEC and accept like 90% of applicants, most of whom are from Louisiana which has (in)famously been last in education for decades, what do you honestly expect from the bunch you have there?
