I have been a fan of coach MM since he arrived. This team looks good so far. Their movement. Defense and shooting. The schedule gets tougher but I think this team will really compete. I’m ready for us to have a dog in this fight

If you truly believe this you haven’t watched a game

This team is totally different this year
I realize it’s been a soft schedule as usual but the eye test is clear

They’ve certainly been profitable from a betting standpoint so far!

Cupcakes teams. Finish bottom 1/3 SEC. Look at SEC poll rankings. Talents not there and he can’t develop players.

He has a real shot at being .500 in the SEC or better. We'll see. How many did he have on the 2023 team? 0, right? That was a .500 team in the SEC.

MM might be the big winner out of all of this. If he screws up again this season no one will realize it between Mulkey Johnson and Kiffin winning

Most of the mouth breathers on here haven’t even watched them play. But he has the opportunity to make his case the next 3 games. People saying he can’t develop players haven’t watched Nwoko play. And Miller came out of his shell against DePaul and Reece the freshman backup PG is getting better every game.Reed and Ward both developed under McMahon. Anyone can see the difference between this team and his 3 previous teams. This team would trounce those teams. And the reason is DJ Thomas. Best PG since Tremont Waters.

The best NCAA tournament teams that make runs usually don't have a bunch of top lottery prospects. It's about the team with the better experience, chemistry, depth, and coaching.

Also below .500 in the SEC still likely gets us in the NCAA tourney, dingus.

nwoko is incredibly reliable finishing around the rim and that's important.

thomas does not make turnovers, he makes assists. teams with calm solid PGs go far.

SEC legend John Brady has voiced concerns that without Thomas in the game the team will lack direction but reece has been improving.

team has depth, they have a bunch of guys like king and Carter that can come in and make shots.

they have massive size down low in Miller reed and nwoko.

team is moving in the right direction for coach mcwinner.

So you are saying it’s pretty much a guarantee we go 10-8 in SEC play as a baseline record? You definitely got my attention now.

I was really impressed with Reese against DePaul, in all phases of his game. Hopefully a sign of where he’s headed, because he will be needed if this team is to push for the tournament.

Of course not. But I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we are 10-8 or better.
Last year we started off 12-2 with some decent wins before conference play started. No one thought we were a tournament team and we proved that going 3-15.

This team looks like a team more than capable of making the tournament. Anyone who pays attention to lsu basketball year in year out out recognizes this. I’d be upset if this team finished below .500. I haven’t felt that way the last 3 years, to no ones surprise.

Not massive and only 2 healthy. Spells disaster.
