All of this is basically irrelevant in the NIL era especially with the GOAT out of the picture.

To me OSU and Texas are the clear top 2 with a gap back to the other SEC schools- LSU, Bama, UGA

Oregon probably right after those 3 now.

It doesn't matter anymore, college sports have become a joke. It's all about whichever team has the most billionaire benefactors willing to write big checks and being able to have a figurehead to simultaneously manage all the egos

Ohio state by a landslide- an educated high schooler could win 7 games as head coach

Texas - fans don’t apply heat on you until 3 years past when it’s due

In this CFB era Auburn and Oregon are not even close to being in the same tier.

I don't see how Notre Dame isn't a Tier I job.

They have their own national TV contract and unlimited money.

They have a national recruiting reach.

They have an inside line on any Catholic kid (there are approximately 53,000,000 - 72,000,000 Catholics in our country).

In the nil era, these are the key factors:

1) money available
2) willingness to spend that money
3) location (aka lifestyle for players/ coaches, recruiting base )

Based on that, the top 5 programs are:

1) Texas
2) Texas A&M
3) Oregon
4) Ohio st
5) 3 way tie between Texas tech/usc/miami

Not everyone can get in and that is a pretty big deal

I can see why you might list the others above UGA, but Michigan?
