All Ruth’s Chris are not created equally. BR RC is most consistent restaurant in BR.
Dirty martinis with one blue cheese olive and one anchovy olive, rocks.
Wife and I split chopped salad and split 16oz ribeye.
Sides for table (3 couples): potatoes au gratin, potatoes lyonnaise, creamed spinach, mushrooms.
Couple bottles of NoCal Pinot for the table.
Everything was perfect. Great food/drink, excellent service

I’ve been to a bunch of Ruth’s across the country and the BR location has always been consistently the best.

Last time I went they had gotten rid of the lobster Mac n cheese. Almost had a meltdown. It’s as good as any steak

Garnishments in cocktails should always be in odd numbers.

Accurate. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Also, worked there in the early 90’s and it is different. Unfortunately, I won’t be back until they put the lamb chops back on the menu.

For psychological reasons? Doesn’t seem like a food science thing.

Of course it’s not a food science thing. It’s a tradition/superstitious thing. It’s just something that I would expect a bartender at a “good place” to know. I’m not sending my drink back if it has two olives.

The one in Lafayette is nearly always perfect.

I don’t think the one in Metry is as good.

High end steak house dinners remain one of the last vestiges of civilization.

The one in Metairie isn’t consistent. I’ve had great meals there and I’ve had very average meals there.

Your meat to sides ratio is off. Too many sides for tor too little meat.

But yes, I tell everyone it’s one of my favorite restaurants in BR. Everything is always perfect.

Lobster bisque is amazing.

10/10 every time.

I’m a big fan of the lyonnaise potatoes as well. And they always start us off with a round of anchovy and blue cheese olives because we used to get extra when we’d get martinis. I love their attention to detail.

Went last night for a Christmas dinner with the wife and kids. Haven't been in at least 15 years. The first visit for my teen kids.

It was wonderful. A great meal. Maybe a new Christmas tradition for us. The lobster Mac and cheese was on the menu and it was great.

They are definitely in the upper crust of baton rouge restaurants.

We went for holiday lunch. It’s our tradition. The Friday before Christmas is the best time ever. They have carolers and everyone dresses in Christmas stuff.

I reserved 2026 from the table.
