Yes. He comes across awkwardly in interviews because he’s actually an introvert. Better in 1 on 1 situations. Super smart.

Probably won’t believe me because I post stupid shite and get my balls busted on here. Was in Oxford about 3 years ago for work business meeting with two developers there. They took me to a pub/bar area downtown. Said Kiffin frequented the place when we were walking in. He was sitting there with a big crowd around him talking and engaging with everyone. The guys I was with knew him and he bought us a round - chatted for a bit about completely random unrelated to football stuff. They were talking about people I didn’t know, but he asked me “what the frick are you doing with these two clowns, they’re a bunch of idiots - I’d stay away from them”. He basically busted their balls for a few minutes and he went on about his way. I thought he was pretty cool and came off as a totally normal dude. He was cool as shite, people there absolutely loved him.

Drink is just a nerd, Kiffin is an autistic genius. Big difference

I said “Hi Coach” to him once at a hotel event in Atlanta. I happened to be holding the door open when he walked in behind me. He said “good to see you” and gave a half smile.

He looked me in the eye, had a strong presence, and gave off Alpha vibes for sure. He didn’t know me as far as I know, but he sized me up as if he may have been trying to place me.

People say I give off former Quarterback vibes and I’m tall.

That was it.

Yes, I actually met Lane and Coach O at the same time. About 15 years ago, I was eating dinner at Sullivan's in Baton Rouge. I was with a supplier who is a huge Tennessee fan. As we were walking out of the restaurant, after dinner, my supplier said "that's Lane Kiffin" pointing to the bar. I turned around and walked in to see for myself and sure enough, it was Lane and Coach O. They were now coaching at USCw. I walked over to their table (they were standing at a high top) to meet them. When I walked up, I said "hey guys, what are y'all doing here?". Coach O said "were here to get the two best players in the state of Louisiana." He was referring to La'el Collins and Jeremy Hill. I laughed and said "no shot" then I went on to say to Lane "wow...you look like a kid!" I was referring to how young Lane looked at the time. Coach O just laughed and Lane gave me this "whatever" snicker. We had about 60 seconds of small talk and then we left.

I know..."Dear Facebook" and maybe I shouldn't have made that remark to Lane, but I had a few cocktails at dinner.

Yeah, we play squash on Sundays for fantasy football.

I saw Kiffin at a grocery store in Oxford a while back. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
