Northern Missouri
57 degrees
Nw wind
Traditions Muzzleloader
Sitting in a GCG kickback rocker in a clump of brush.

I can see into a draw between ag fields. Saw a lot of deer using it while glassing the last few days. Hoping that when people start moving around at lunch it pushes deer through here.

ETA: I hope there is toilet paper in my pack.

About to walk to the stand…
Simsboro, La
58° no wind
Pipeline with food plots each direction
Acorns are still falling and the ground is covered at the camp site.
Dog’s chewing on deer legs she buried 3 weeks ago. They smell horrendous.

ETA: yesterday evening was the first hunt this year I didn’t see a deer. I was only on the stand for about an hour. Got REB jr in another stand this morning. Any mature doe or rack buck is going down.

I was waiting for him to come to my stand. Never did. He must have a stand near his property line, just like mine is.

I try to put orange on especially when I have to walk a little ways to a stand. This morning I thought “don’t want a game warden ruining my opening day”

Nothing like being up a tree 30 minutes before legal shooting time! Good for thinking and praying. I hope they move, no shots so far.

Box stand looking at a feeder and rice bran trough on the edge of hardwoods.
6.5 Creedmoor

Been hunting more this year than I have the last few years combined and haven’t seen anything but squirrels and rabbits. Just want to see a deer at this point.

Property is full of scrapes and rubs but camera activity has fallen off the last few weeks.

That was me coming into this weekend after hunting tight quarters with my bow the past few weeks.

So now I’m in a pipeline where I can see 400yds in each direction

Already saw a big spike so mission accomplished
