I just want to know who in the world had $5 million laying around that they could easily throw at a middling tennis program.

That’s the biggest problem. You and Hunter seem to be in the same boat. The issue is it’s actually Hunter’s job to know those people.
Good info cgrand.

I’m flying to Charleston SC Sunday the 24th. Will stay there and leave Thursday the 28th and make the four hour drive down to St. Augustine and fly back home out of Jacksonville the 31st.

Been to Charleston many times, but first trip to St. Augustine. My favorite coast of Florida is the east coast. Spent quite a bit of time in Ormond Beach area and Cocoa Beach. Especially during COVID.

14 year old daughter will finish 8th grade and we are calling this our US History vacation.

It really is time for Hunter to go

This stunt he pulled with the tennis program looks horrible.

1) privately $5million was raised to keep the program without HY.

2) Did he lie to the BOT saying he could not raise the money to keep the programs…if not

3) If he cannot secure money from people in a way to keep a particular program afloat, he is really really bad at his job. As in, it really seems it was pretty easy for those donors to come up with the $5mil. It didn’t take long.

4) While the BOT may seem out of touch…it seems as though HY may have led them to believe there was no alternative other than cutting the programs. That action has made the University, HY, and the BOT look like total fools.

If there’s absolutely one thing people in power (BOT) hate…it’s looking like a fool.

Nobody is immune to it now. Arthur’s is a very nice place and has been around a while. I would imagine someone got their bill, saw $700-$800 on it and made decisions from there.

These people also should be careful where they pull this…there’s always been rumors of old Mob ties with Arthur’s.

Win the SEC and then not make Omaha is a disappointing season, just like last season.

I think everyone saw Texas for what they were last season. Relatively easy league schedule, didn’t have a winning record against the other top teams in the league. The ceiling for last years Texas team was about where they finished post season play. It just felt a little more dramatic because it happened at home to an in state city university.
Winning the nations toughest baseball league is something to be happy about.

Kentucky is the only school that really needs the arena size they have … the rest do not sale out year round .

Umm…about that…
How DVH has this rag tag group of dirt bags at 15-11 in SEC play is beyond me.

Will need a win today or a sweep of Kentucky to have won at least 18 league games every season since the abysmal 2016 season.

if arkansas is spending a couple million on tennis NIL

Nobody said NIL. The spend amount is just on the actual program.

Smart move. This will save hundreds -- maybe thousands -- of dollars that Arkansas can otherwise divert to football NIL.

Try a couple million.

Didnt realize arky was so poor

Arkansas spent almost 3 million on tennis.

It generated about $3k in revenue.

It’s not rocket surgery. Arkansas is just the first to do this…certainly not going to be the last.

Anyone familiar with Life360? How could a "cellphone be activated" on it? What does that mean?

Would assume it’s referring to her phone being on and the Dad seeing that, but getting no response. I would imagine also that if she normally went places at certain times and her phone stayed at home, that was likely a flag as well.

Mine has Life360 and it is quite useful.

So.....3.5 games better than Pope.

So now regular season wins matter to you?

Cal won an SEC Tourney title this season, while Pope took a pretty early exit again. Well, technically not an early exit for a team that has to start on day 1 of the league tournament. Nevertheless, Pope exited the tourney the same day Cal started the tourney.

Those results Cal is delivering for y'all aren't fricking acceptable here

Yes, because starting the league tournament on literally day one are the results UK hired to replace Cal. Congrats.

Thanks for confirming that Cal is washed up, but you Hawgs are wallering in that mediocrity like a pig in slop.

Yea, real mediocre season Arkansas just had winning 28 games.

You should have your CDS checked out…

Arkansas has been to 4 Sweet Sixteens in the last 5 seasons. Only 2 less than Missouri has been to all time.
