I feel like I’m watching a magic show
If we look at the defense currently on campus or signed...

Safety: Taijh Overton, Tay Lockett, Kendrick Williams, Ian Williams, Christian Harrison
Corners: Shelton Lewis, LaKhi Roland, Braydon Lee, Jalon Copeland, Brandon Ford, Joker Johnson
LB'er: Brad Shaw, JaQuavion Smith, Wyatt Simmons, Jakore Smith, Khmori House, Steven Soles Jr., Braylon Jackson, Jeremy Evans, Ben Bogle
DT: David Oke, Reginald Vaughn, Hunter Osborne, Danny Beale, Carlon Jones, Anthony Kennedy, Antonio Sandel Bascomb
Edge: Quincy Rhodes, Jamonta Waller, Colton Yarborough, Charlie Collins, Keiundre Johnson, Caleb Bell, Trenton Sellers.

I would not go that far.

Most of the portal haul has been on the defensive side of the ball, including two safeties who are the 42nd and 63rd ranked safeties in the portal. Do need to add some depth there.

but we still clearly don’t have the funds to compete with the top of the sport

What makes you say that? Arkansas currently has the #9 portal class according to On3.

2025 Portal Ranking: #58
2024 Portal Ranking: #39

I think it’s kind of odd that Arky fans seem the most butthurt over basketball talk on this board. It’s almost as if 30 years of mediocrity is getting to yall.

You started a troll thread and get interaction with it. You get called out on your own team having a worse win pct. in SEC play and having 20+ losing seasons in the last 30+ years. You get mad at others making a comment and pointing that out. Then claim someone else is butthurt...

Makes sense.
Kind of an odd thread to start when OP's team has a worse conference winning percentage all time than LSU and also less historic prestige. I think Auburn has something like 20 or 21 losing seasons in conference play since the 1991-92 expansion.

But you do you.

I am guessing we wouldn't overpay for a kicker who only hit 55% of his kicks over 40 yds.

He seemed to be a solid kicker but was 0/2 against Ole Miss, 0/1 against LSU, and 1/2 against Missouri.

We lost by 6 to Ole Miss (2 FG)
Lost by 1 to LSU (1 FG)

Kickers make their money in those situations. Nobody remembers the 53 yard FG that he made against Alabama A&M to start the season. If an NFL kickers misses like he did when it matters most, he is cut from the team.

Great Success: Our 2-0 teams. Vanderbilt is undefeated!

I know they got Alabama at home last night, but I still want to see them against other quality teams and on the road. They have LSU at home, @ Texas, Florida at home, @ Arkansas, @ State, then Kentucky at home. Overall, their SEC schedule is pretty easy as well. They will go over a month between games against conference ranked opponents. Only catching 4 ranked league opponents all season long.

The fake pass earlier that had Pringle confused as hell made me LOL in real life.
This has definitely been nice to follow the last few days…much better than…”shite, we are for sure gonna suck again”
Hogs move up to #15 in both polls...right behind...Texas Tech. Makes sense.

I kind of like our Hog squad this year.
Hogs up to 14 in AP poll. Vandy a spot above with absolutely no ranked wins. Makes sense.
Going 3-2 against Sparty, Duke, L’ville, Texas Tech, and Houston would be a dang good OOC run leading into SEC play.
quote:

Arky fans said he was really good and NBA caliber. LMAO

No. We said our team got better when he was injured and out for the entire second half of season.

We didn’t talk ill of the kid, but gave fair warning to Gator fans on this board to not get overly excited about him.
