I think the NFL has spread itself too thin

Yesterday was a little boring. And it seems too many Sundays this season have had that feel. I think the 3:25 marquee game has suffered the most. I mean Rams-Niners? I think they are trying to fill too many days/time slots and once you hit the byes, the schedule suffers.

NFL is dead without bright stars of Burrow and Jayden

I truly don’t understand the appeal of the nfl. So bland and boring.

Thursday night and international games are a drag.
Short term cash infusion but the quality suffers, and as you note it limits options for the traditional lineup.
Then you add it being a pain for the golden goose of fantasy football
Long term I think it’ll catch up to the nfl at least a little bit

I dont hate that there is a game on at 830 am. Gives me something to watch. They havent all been terrible.

This is the time of the year Thursday night football really starts to suck. These guys are worn down and need all the recovery they can get.
So you get a bad game on Thursday night, some games on Saturday soon, an international game that typically feels bad, and then finally get to Sunday.

Those early morning NFL games interfere with EPL

I don’t know… lot of good games yesterday … I think some people reaching for anything to justify their disinterest in football…

Don't' forget the most important and obvious:
RIGGED

They need to always or at least most of the time have 4 afternoon games. Feel like almost every week this year has been 3 afternoon games.

You have a Thursday game, Sunday Europe Game, Sunday night game and Monday night game.
The Sunday slate is going to suck when all the best teams are playing on these primetime slots.
8 teams are playing on primetime then 4 teams are on bye each week. That's 10 games remaining on Sunday.

You can’t have great games in every time slot. Gotta fill 5 slots

My only complaint is that there should always be 4 afternoon games. With betting and fantasy I tune in to pretty much every time slot, at least for a little bit, if I am at home. I've been loving the 8:30 AM games, especially because my kid likes to eat breakfast outside with the game on, just wish they were slightly better games.

How would you define a loss in quality?

TNF is low quality typically
They should just do a better job of scheduling it but don’t give a shite because it’s going to get eyes regardless

Are you saying the rams and niners arent good teams that shouldnt get that slot?

Pro sports generally suck until the playoffs. Football is better than others just because of the importance of every game with such a small schedule.

This. I would like to see a study done on the Thursday night games compared to Sundays - injuries, scoring, etc.
It’s the NATIONAL Football League, not international. If Europe and Mexico want football, great. Start leagues.

Thursday night games need to be eliminated. 9/10 are dog shite.
