Shutdown sucks. Headed to DC for a few days and Smithsonian will be closed.

Visiting the boy and DIL before he gets deployed to a new assignment next year.
Can we all agree that the Smithsonian will always be funded and let’s get those reopened?

But some guy in Prairieville said it doesn't affect him at all and he doesn't care if the government ever opens again

I was able to visit Fort Sumter in Charleston earlier last month due to the ferry company providing funding for a month.
But yea the national parks and museums not being open does suck.
I visited Congaree NP and there were no rangers or visitor center open which did suck also.

During the 2013 shutdown, Obama put up barriers at all the outdoor monuments in DC so you couldn’t walk up to them.

Last time I was up there the best and most moving thing was the Lincoln Memorial which is open. The National Cathedral is good to see also, even though it’s been taken over by pagans.

Sounds like the democrats need to get off their asses and up to the table. Their unwillingness to negotiate in good faith is what's holding it up.
