Do you still cut your own grass or do you hire it out?

I've cut more grass in my life than any human should and I hate it. And that's not even considering my disdain for small engines.
But I can't bring myself to hire somebody because I can't get over shelling out dollars for something I can do. Plus I don't trust them to not frick it up.
Decades long dilemma. How do you do it baws?

Paying someone else to cut your grass is like paying someone else to f your wife.

I was with that idea until my son repeatedly fricked it up. He can hack up his paw paw's yard.

I don't even own lawn equipment.

I do because they’d want $300 a week for some shite that takes me 2 hours. I also repair vehicles, plumbing, basic air conditioning, and electrical. Even the most basic jobs take a. Hour and save $200-400.
These things are good for you. I pay for more advanced things that I could do but don’t want to deal with unknowns. If there’s a decent YouTube for it, doing it myself

We started paying a neighborhood teenager looking to make a few bucks to cut the yard once or twice a month. He does okay, but he asks for way less than he should for as long as it takes him so I always give more than he asks for. Saves me time on weekends where I am too busy and I dont spend a fortune on a landscape crew to do it.

This thread again.
I can’t wait for the posters pushing mowing your own grass as a moral virtue.

I love doing yardwork. It's therapeutic for me and I enjoy the satisfaction of a clean-cut yard afterwards.

I do it until about July-August when my yard needs to be cut damn near twice a week.
I can’t bring myself to go die in 110° heat voluntarily every week like that. With that said, I hate paying someone for something I can do.

My weekly maid and every ten day lawn crew is among the best money I spend. I would cut my budget to the fricking bone before I thought about giving up those two things.

OF COURSE I do my own grass cutting. Will not forfeit man card.

I enjoy it. I’ve busted it down to minimal maintenance with edging and trimming and my mowing takes 20-25 min tops.

I pay someone. My house is on 2 acres in a residential neighborhood. If it were just mowing I would probably cut it myself but the weed trimming/edging makes it easier to let someone else do it.

this is where my hate for yard work began. As the only son, I had to cut the grass every week.
I did it early on in my married life. Then one day i got so frustrated with a trimmer that wouldn't start, i threw it over the fence into the woods and never touched another one.

No. I have a crew that mows and edges for $30 per week. Have not mowed the grass in 15-20 years.
