Us, Pacers, and the Nets.

5 months ago we had the rights to ours and the Pacers pick before reckless Joe freely got fleeced on both for basically Derik Queen in return.

The franchise is now in its death spiral and will never recover under Gayle.

Far more harm is being done to NOLA keeping these teams here. Do us a favor Gayle as you have to be having flashbacks of your decorating business by now: Sell these teams.

Joe Dumar supporters are worse than Scott Woodward fanboys

What Dumars did in his first few m9 ths running the team shows just how dumb he is.

In a loaded draft the Pelicans could have had two of the top five picks and reset the franchise.

But due to Dumars, the team and fan base is dead

I thought David Griffin was bad but Dumars makes Griffin look like Jerry West

It's the Loomis style hyper aggressive zero foresight, extreme overconfidence Gayle approved way.

Team will go nowhere with her as owner.

Picking Fears & having 2 lotto picks going into 2026 would have been wonderful. You could have truly reset: trading zion - so be it. Eventually trading Murray.

Lets say you get lucky and hit top 3, grab Cameron Boozer (PF)
Other pick is say teens, grab Patrick Ngongba (C) who's supposed to have a breakout year.

Could have made out with arguably a young group to build around with Jones & Murphy as the leaders.

PG: Fears/Murray
SG: Jones/Poole
SF: Murphy/Bey
PF: Boozer/Bey
C: Ngongba/Missi

and not including whatever nonsense you can get from Zion.

while teams like OKC are contending and stockpiling draft picks, we say frick it.

We are truly 5+ years away from having a competitive team all because of that one idiotic trade. Check back in 2030.

We will likely be in Seattle by 2030 or at least in the process of moving there

Zion, Griff and Dumars destroyed New Orleans basketball

Anthony Davis was actually never the bad guy looking back at it. We got a trade haul for him and fricked up repeatedly afterwards.

He's gone. Unless we plan to tank for another season. Which we should.
Reason why:

1. Top 4 draft pick, need to give that guy minutes, we're not in a win now position with Dejounte gone next year
2. Dejounte is hurt next year
3. If green stay we're aren't winning. If we hire a new coach we still not winning, because it's his first year on the job.
4. Next draft has potentially four franchise players.
5. We don't know if Zion is going to be healthy next season.
6. Injury bug, let's keep it a buck we're probably the most injured team in the league so we can expect at least two of our players not to be healthy at all next season judging by past seasons. Can you guess who??

I would be fielding trade offers for Zion, get another war chest, get this top 4 draft pick, hope for a another top 4 draft pick next year. Get dejounte back during that 2026 season then run with that. But knowing Griff he's going to *****foot around and hold Zion still he has no value like Ingram and Lonzo.

No, the plan is a soft rebuild. This era is over. We squandered the entire trade package we got for AD, that we were suppose to have used to win with Zion.

1. 4th pick (Nickeil and Jaxson)
2. 8th pick (dyson)
3. Gave away Ingram for almost nothing
4. Gave away Lonzo for almost nothing
5. Probably some more I can't think of...

That's like you basically saying my plan is to run 29 year old Jrue with Zion his first year plus all the lakers capital and say try to win. Whats crazy you same people would agree yeah but not agree to this. You missing the forest for the trees. We thinking long term. Zion isn't staying after his contract and we already know Griff history with getting adequate value for trade assets. Zion hasn't added anything to his game substantial and we don't even know if he can raise his game in the playoffs. Yall would rather be a barely make the playoffs/playin team with Zion and no trade assets for the next three years instead of going ahead and going into a soft rebuild with another war chest. You same people would have tried to convince AD in his last year to stay as a GM and end result would be no assets instead of trading him while his contract was still in effect and him noninjured. Remember Dejounte don't come back for another season, we don't have a legit point guard no more so 2025 is basically a bust. Next two years is all we have left with Zion... then what?? Look at the Thunder GM, he thought long-term and made plans for the future, now they have assets galore and a contender for the foreseeable future because they cashed in on assets at the right time. Nobody knew SGA would be this good now look. Just two teenagers when basically the only elite thing about our organization is the draft scouts huh?

I think almost anyone with eyes and a brain saw that once Haliburton developed a calf strain. Instead we have a POBO who runs to the Pacers before the series is over and gives them the pick before seeing how Haliburton responds. Many of us complained about the trade before Haliburton ruptured the achilles.
