Had no idea crocs had migrated that far north.

Well, he ate his way like a big ole Pac Man

I think they can probably adapt alot better than we know.
Probably not his preferred environment but i would imagine there is more food. If he is that far away from salt water, he is going where food is.

Croc kills dog. News reporter stands right next to water.

Then at the 1:01 mark to the right of the screen a sea creature comes up out the water to eat something

Is that a dolphin in the background at 1:03?

If it was my dog, the croc would be dead and I’d kill it right in front of the reporter, the sheriff, green jeans and anyone else who happened to be watching. Grease em all.

At least they didnt just kill it

I live in Brevard County - there are a few crocs in the area - not sure if this is the same one but authorities relocated one of them to south FL a couple of years ago and the damned thing showed back up after a few months.

What? That’s part of their range.

Apparently so. They used to be only in S. FL (Everglades).

They grow’em big in the Glades.
Saw this one earlier this year - think it’s the second-largest in the park.

They're lucky it wasn't some little kid drawn to the water as kids are. That guy said he's been seeing it for weeks and now that it's killed a family pet, they decide to put it into captivity.
My take is once gators and crocs big enough to kill infants move into habitated areas they should be killed.

Um, alligator?
No. Look at it. It's a crocodile. I think American Crocs are indigenous to the Everglades.
Indian Harbour Beach (Gleason Park) is like 200 miles north of the Everglades.

Looks like a gator to me, but I'm no rocket biologist.

You are going to be very busy doing that in Florida these days. So many big new subdivisions around and all of them have water now. I live in a new neighborhood and there are at least 25 ponds in our sub division and pretty much every single one of them has at least one or two in them.
I see them everywhere down here. Just Monday I was getting off the intertstate at Clark Rd which is a very busy ramp and there was a pretty big one swimming in the water retention pond at the interchange.
There are certainly more in LA but more people here and more new builds
