Our cities just need to restart. Tokyo is so much cleaner, more lawful, and orderly. Everyone follows the rules and you rarely see cultcha

When you have an ethnostate and shame still exists in your society, then this isn’t that hard to create.

When you return to USA, you will be flabbergasted at how "dirty" it is.

My husband went for a week/10 days and my daughter spent 11 months over there- they both had the ick from seeing our state and county with refreshed eyes.

I didn't go... but they were stunned.

I live in the suburbs, but when I go to the city, I am disgusted. Seattle has so many homeless that it’s just not a safe place to walk in the city

I have walked for four hours in Tokyo and felt perfectly safe

They work 20 hours a day and kill themselves with alarming regularity too.

the good news is that if you're willing to wait a couple generations, you can just have it

Sweet. Much easier to accomplish when the culture and ethnicity is monolithic, and diversity isn't shouting in your face.

If only.

Our Evil Masters plan to convert them to 'Smart City' control grids. So there's that. NYC was last a breathtaking, relatively safe city during the early 1950s. It and most other small-to-large cities as we knew them from history and song ain't returning to their past grandeur.

What accelerated the demise of US cities was the "Urban Renewal" (aka, demolition of city infrastructure), de-industrialization of urban factories centers, migration from the South, exodus from cities to burbs, and govt corruption.

Gonna be kinda hard to return to pre-WW2

Well Japanese people make up 97% of their population.

Funny how they can do that and no one says a word, but the US gets lambasted constantly even though we are one of the most diverse countries.
