By today’s standards, most people back then were POS.

There are suggestions that Columbus was Jewish. Whir up the conspiracy machine.

Eeropeans were busy perfecting the sciences of hydrodynamics and figuring out how to navigate ocean currents and capitalize on wind currents. The goat rapers were still busy raping goats and warring with themselves.
Can't blame one side for taking the initiative to find new people and lands to conquer.

Applying the customs, standards and mores of today to Columbus is revisionist history and pure stupidity.

It’s always a battle of wits when we start judging past people by today’s standards. Can I just call you an idiot now, or do we have to go through several pages of citing notable left wing heroes and their atrocities that have been white washed or ignored?

Columbus sailed under a Templar/ Knights of Christ banner.

Compared to the human sacrifice and slavery practiced in the Americas during the same time of Columbus’s arrival?
The Inca and Aztec “civilizations” made Chris look pretty milquetoast .

one of the best salesman that ever lived. He was an Italian that got Spain to pay for multiple voyages and never got where he was supposed to

People today can’t understand how people were then. Even “civilization” wasn’t very civilized. Columbus voyage was funded by the monarchy and they expected a return on that investment as well which is why Columbus forced indigenous people into slavery to mine for gold in Hispaniola. He was exceptionally brutal though and that cannot be excused.
It is to be expected that for someone at that time to do what he did that he would be crazy

Leif Erikson beat Columbus to America. And it’s even more awesome because he was a Viking. We celebrate Leif Erikson Day on October 9 instead.
