Is Kelly's problem that he is too close emotionally to Nuss?

and add in the fact that they share the same agent, and it makes it harder for him to bench Nuss if it comes to that...

I am not sure if benching Nuss is even the right solution, but I am also not sure if Kelly has the testicular fortitude to pull the trigger.

It is obvious that the offensive line is the biggest issue we have...we knew this before the season started and it was confirmed against LA Tech, a game in which our starters should have been pulled in the 3rd quarter. And when you can't block three defenders with six blockers, you are in trouble.

Still, Nuss is struggling in his own right...the continued underthrows on deep passes are alarming, along with the throwing into triple coverage, missing open receivers and inexplicable interceptions. If he is hurt, he should have been benched long enough to heal.

The season is not over and all our goals are still achievable...the three games until the next bye week:

South Carolina
at Vanderbilt
Texas A&M

are all winnable games...fix the mistakes, take care of business the next three games, and we’re right back in the hunt.

I remember when BK first arrived it seemed he was more excited about Nuss than Jayden. We should’ve caught that in real time in retrospect.

Nuss has the yips, Kelly needs to decide if he will work his way out of it, or just move on. With this line, feel he needs a mobile guy, anyway

Could be. I didn't know they had the same agent.

From an agent's perspective, I would think you would want the injury excuse...even if it leads to benching. As everybody knows, Nuss's on-field performance has sent his draft stock plummeting.

I think its fear of the unknown. He would rather play guys that are more senior and "know" what they are doing rather thanyoungguys that are more talented. Its been his MO from day 1. Sure he will play young guys if there isn't a viable seniority option but he has shown time and time again that he values experience over all else. He knows Nuss is hurt but he thinks he knows what Nuss will and won't do. He has no idea what MVB will do so he'd rather play a hurt and VERY limited Nuss over the unknown.

This loyalty to Nuss is gonna tank both BK and Nuss. If he is hurt, say publicly he is hurt and cant throw. Bench him so he can heal. Save the kids draft stock. Bring the athletic kid in, see if he can work around this sorry offensive line.

I mean what is BK willing to do to win?

Kelly says you people know nothing about football.
He knows it all.
And, he has scammed the university out of millions so he must know a lot about fraud also.

I don't remember that. I recall the majority of LSU fans (except me and a few others) being more excited about Nuss over Jayden. BK started JD over Nuss; he stated that JD's dual-threat abilities were better suited to play behind a young O-line.

Jayden wasn’t on the roster when Kelly got the job, he was recruited here by Kelly to supplant Nuss.

And this board was full of people who did want Nuss over Jayden in 2022

Probably some financial stuff too. He's the highest paid player on the team. I get it but damn man you're killing your team out of pride. He looks like a guy that has dealt with injury and hasn't developed much timing or chemistry with the offense enough to make a difference. Thats why they want him throwing. BK needs to have the balls to sit his arse down and to take Sloan's play calling duties away. If Atkins can help with OL, relieve Brad Davis of his duties now. Don't wait.

Yep they were mad that BK brought in Jayden. Nuss has always had the hype train behind him since his freshman season.

We could name those packages.
The whole first quarter.
The whole second quarter.
The whole third quarter.
The whole fourth quarter. These should be his packages.

You think maybe that was because Jayden didn't play for LSU at the time?

What I don’t understand is, why would BK NOT be willing to start throwing shite at the wall regarding the offense?

He should be trying everything at this point given the fact that literally nothing is working for this offense.

Looks like his decision to play Nuss had to do with politics than football.

The way BK jumps his arse as often as he does, I don't think they are close at all. Quite the opposite actually. It looks like they have a pretty fracture relationship that is affecting Nuss' play

Sounds like a Les Miles issue all over again.
