No. They wanted him to sign a 4 year extension or he couldn’t coach the playoffs. He wanted to coach them all the way through before leaving. It’s his team that he built

I look at it like Florida and Georgia. Florida played hard but couldn’t win in the end. LSU will play hard but will be tough to beat bama. Bama wins but LSU leaves it all out on the field
