You can disagree with Charlie’s politics all you want and that’s fine but he was an incredibly smart and educated person who knew how to defend his beliefs and his faith against any attacks. Make no mistake this was an attack on conservative Christian’s everywhere

His college tours were a bit cheesy at times but he sure had some lunatics on his show at times

This is a terrible and I’m not sure America is redeemable at this point

I’ll get backlash for this but it’s on the level with MLK Jr. Charlie had a huge following.

He knew how to debate like no one else, especially at his age.

There is definitely going to be a lot of social response because he was so popular and this was so senseless. He wasn't particularly extreme or provocative like old Milo or even old Ben Shapiro (back when the Left would riot on campus when they'd speak in 2016-2017)

You will only get backlash from brainwashed losers that hate this country. I absolutely agree that this assassination is equal to MLK Jr's.

Need to identify the shooter before claiming to know what the motivations were.

The older I get the more I hate people.

There is no place for this in our country.

Absolutely terrible situation. Charlie was one of the good ones fighting the good fight for everyone in the US so they weren’t blinded by the BS.

RIP

That's what makes this one so bad. He wasn't even extreme or close to extreme.

I would've paid good money to see you and Charlie debate for a few hours.

I said this earlier at work to a like minded co-worker… knowing what we know now about MLK this was a much graver loss of character and honor. Just sad.

If you could see old threads from the GWB era you'd see similar things.

This is why I watched almost all of his debates with college students. It's all fast extemoraneous thinking instead of politicians relying on prepared oratory. He didn't need notes. He knew his facts. And if you brought up the bible you were gonna get a lesson.

Political assassination is now part of our American political discourse.

I think you’re being slightly hyperbolic, but this will be a major cultural moment for sure. However, while this event should serve to radicalize and galvanize the right, I don’t see how anyone who’s been paying attention could still require something like this to happen to get on board. Covid and the Trump assassination should have already done the job.
