My Top 5:

1. 1997- This was the night I fell in love with LSU football. Will never forget being on my Dads shoulders postgame as a 7 year old chanting Corso sucks behind the gameday set with thousands of others (it seemed like the cool thing to do) . Trashy but that was one of those "you had to have been there" moments.

2. 2007- Will be #1 for most. Another Top 10 game in Death Valley History.

3. 2020- I was in line to make a bet at the Island View for LSU +22.5. When that dickhead Joey Palmer laughed on the screen pregame I said frick it and bet the ML at +850 .

4. 2011- Total destruction of a Top 25 team. Our punter showed he had more swag than most players in the country.

5. 2019- Trailed in the 3rd. Late TD from Burrow to Chase to pull away.

2015 was a great game and at the time felt like LSU was rolling to the CFP; fake field goal

2010 Lee saves the day; fake field goal

2004 Jamarcus INTs put LSU in a hole and Marcus Randall leads a late comeback in the Swamp

2002 LSU crushes Florida in the Swamp, though Mauck gets hurt in garbage time and derails the season

I agree with your list…2019 was the most fun for me when the entire stadium began gator chomping the Florida team and fans.

After that game the UF president announced that Florida would stop gator chomping.

I'd combine the OP with the list in the next post. Add the 2023 game when JD5 ran roughshod all over the Gaytors to make a top 10.

The 2020 game in the fog, Cade York kicking a 57-game winning field goal at the Swamp has to be my favorite. Right down the middle to. With Deculus 76 running down to the goal posts with the good, hands up!

2007 of course, but 2005 is underrated. 4th quarter come back for the win. I think we were all so accustomed to 4th quarter comebacks back then that they get lost in the shuffle.

these should be almost unanimous for top 2.
the order of them can be argued either way.

'97 was obviously huge. First time we ever beat a #1 team. Florida was defending champs and undefeated. Spurrier seemed invincible.
Tommy freaking Banks!

'07 was just different.
we went into that season as one of the favorites for a Natty.
after thrashing VaTech earlier in year, it felt like it was our year for sure.
then a brutal close game. all the 4th downs, the crowd reaction to Stanford beating USC, that final drive, batting down a last gasp Hail Mary in end zone on final play, Tebow crying.

97 easily. Didn't go but my now deceased daughter did. It was her first LSU game and as a senior in H.S., she was mesmerized and couldn't stop grinning for months after the game. She was invited by her best friend who was a year older and at LSU. They ran onto field like everybody else. Sure wish I could see that smile again.

2010 was MADNESS

Les decides to call a fake FG with less than a minute to go in the 4th, when a FG would tie the game for LSU. Also, this is the week after Les Miles' famous clock management blunder against Tennessee, that he luckily got away with. Lester was betting his job on this fake FG

The holder tosses the ball behind his head but under-tosses it and it hits the ground but bounces into Josh Jasper's hands and he runs for the first down.

Urban Meyer is certain its an incomplete forward pass and Florida should have the ball.

They review the play and the ball bounces perfectly perpendicular with the field. Refs take over 3 minutes to review the play, but stick with ruling on the field. First down LSU

A few plays later Jarrett Lee finds Terrance Toliver in the corner of the endzone with 6 seconds left. Tigers win in classic Les Miles fashion.

yes all 3 are great

add in 2007.

i will add in 1987. we win 13-10. robert McGinty misses a 37 yard FG for UF as time expires. we dodged a bullet.

1997 was my top but don't forget 1982 at FL. Dalton Hilliard freshman season. At #4 FL and was an 18 point favorite. Beginning of the James/Hilliard gang. We upset them on the road 24 - 13 and went from unranked to #11 by the end of the season..

I loved that we ran this play twice in a row when we didn't get it the first time. First one should've been PI.

Also, I forgot there was a review on the TD, and Bham didn't screw us. Ha.

1. Old school: LSU 14, Florida 0, 1963. Billy Truax balled out on both offense and defense vs favored Florida

2. LSU 30, UF 27, 2014. Delahoussaye delivered late in the second of two tough road games, a followup to the blowout at Cliff Hare

3. LSU 28, UF 24, 2007. All time classic football game.

4. LSU 24, UF 21, 2004. Again the second of two tough road games after a beatdown at UGA. Marcus Randall bailed out the Tigers late.

If they wanted to screw us, it would have been on the review of the fake FG

The 2010 game was the ultimate "comic book finish" football game. Popeye couldn't do it any better.
