Besides more recent ones lsu early 80s beat a top 5 Florida team in Gainesville. Right around when eye of the tiger came out 1982.

This. 1982. Introducing Dalton Hilliard. For you yutes who never saw Dalton in his prime, here is the screen pass that put LSU up 17-3. Full game also available on YouTube.

THERE IS ONLY ONE! In 1997, LSU beat #1 ranked Florida with Steve "I wanted to coach at LSU but DAJD hired Mike Archer" Spurrier as HC. Spurrier had at least one good "Visor Slam" in the 2nd Half. This game is in my Top 5 all-time games in Tiger Stadium. (And I've been to more games in Death Valley Sr. than at least 90% of the Rant)

Not my favorite but I’ll never forget. I don’t remember the year but was @ FL and we were major dogs. Think it was Joe Addai that put on a show

97 mom tried to sell our tickets and go eat at TJs. She failed and then help me over the fence.

2007 my Florida buddy poured his entire pint in a cup sat down and repeated its over after they announced that usc lost.

‘97- easily the #1 best win
Shoe game- easily the most unorthodox and will never be forgotten

What was surprising about 2021 was the emergence of a running attack. Tigers had been unable to run all season long yet had over 300 yards vs the Gators, with Ty Davis Price doing most of the damage.

97 number one but a close second the '82 road win at Gainesville over then number 4 Florida who had just come off a big win over USC.

Dalton Hilliard officially introduced himself to America in that stirring 24-13 win.

2015 was a great game and at the time felt like LSU was rolling to the CFP; fake field goal

This was such a shite game and a good lesson for what was to come in 2016 and 2017.

(1997) Almost every year 2001 - 2018 the meaning and intensity of those games every year were off the charts. Its dropped off last 7 or so years. Hopefully Saturday the intensity is back.

2023 was amazing. JD put up video game numbers and looked like Superman.

It was the performance that clinched the Heisman. Unreal.

END THREAD.

I became a die-hard fan that night. Could argue that it affected the rest of my life. I decided to go to LSU and have been in BR ever since

'07 was just different.
we went into that season as one of the favorites for a Natty.
after thrashing VaTech earlier in year, it felt like it was our year for sure.
then a brutal close game. all the 4th downs, the crowd reaction to Stanford beating USC, that final drive, batting down a last gasp Hail Mary in end zone on final play,

'07 was just different.

I still have to claim the '59 Halloween game as personal favorite - but only for its novelty at the time. And I only recall 3 plays of that game with any focus.

Nothing can compete with the non-stop thrill ride of that '07 game - and when the USC defeat was announced I feared the upper deck would collapse.

it was electric the whole game - unforgettable

and my granddaughter was in the Golden Girls too.
