2007: LSU 34, Tulane 9
2008: LSU 40, Troy 31
2009: LSU 24, LaTech 16
2010: LSU 32, McNeese 10
2012: LSU 38, Towson 22
2015: LSU 44, Eastern Michigan 22
2016: LSU 34, Jacksonville St 13
2017: Troy 24, LSU 21
2021: LSU 27, ULM 14

Maybe some of these weren’t as ugly as I remember. Point is, it happens. Win the day, try to move on and improve.

I remember both those Troy games. They are not a rent a win. Clemson found out yesterday.

That Towson game was one of the more boring sporting events I ever attended.

That Troy game 2008 was the most miserable I’ve ever been in the stadium. The “hot chocolate” was cold and ran out.

The next coldest was a loss to Ole Miss, maybe 2001???. Man jt was cold.

I was in Fairmont,WV for a work project. I remember driving around the hotel parking lot trying to get the 870 broadcast to stay alive. I remember it going out for minutes at a time and wondering wtf was going on….

Don’t forget Saban in this. Didn’t he lose to UAB his first year at LSU?

Even in the Saban era we lost to UAB in year 1 and 2004 coming off of a natty we needed a 4th quarter comeback vs Troy and needed 7-5 Oregon St to miss 3 PATs (from a future Groza winner) to beat them in OT at home.

A few of us stayed until the bitter end against Troy in 2008. That’s one of the coldest football games I’ve ever attended. I think the coldest was probably the Independence Bowl against Notre Dame in 1997.

In 2016 Clemson only won 30-24 against Troy at home. Went on to win the championship. We know about this Troy team!

I remember a year or two ago when moscona asked T Bob on whiskey and wine if the players actually care about these games. I respected T Bob for being honest and just straight saying no.

2019 is termed one of the greatest ever and had the same margin of victory at half against a team significantly worse than what we faced. People are just idiotic.

Dude, The Rant is not a place for rational objective thought. You have to get on the 5th grade level here.
