Is this the right look? Madden looks muscular...Nic Cage just looks fat.

Nope. Nic missed the mark and just looks pudgy with no muscular definition.
Look at Madden's entire upper body next to Nic's and there's no comparison in structure and muscle tone. Plus, it looks like Nic is still strolling around on two skinny assed legs that have never seen "Leg Day" in a gym.

Why are we pretending that’s what John Madden looked like his whole career? He was pretty fat and lost about all of that muscle in the first comparison pic.

Yeah depending on how it goes and if they include MNF broadcasting, he can’t be a different build for every era.

I mean im still pretty impressed that hes doing that to his body for a film lol. Reminds me of when Mac on always sunny got super fat just because he thought it would be funny by drinking 4 milkshakes a day

Cage wasn’t the right guy for this role. Madden was about 35-37 in that pic. Nic is 60. I guess if the movie does Maddens entire life he may be the right fit, but not for the Raiders years.
