Where should the wife and I stay.
We don't gamble much, love food and music (not cheesy Vegas Tributes.)
Thoughts?
Any must do things or places...willing to drive a bit.
Thanks.

Wife and I went to Kenny Chesney at the Sphere and we stayed far enough away that we had to Uber and it was a PITA getting one after the concert. I would stay close enough to walk to/from the Venetian and Sphere.

Flamingo is pretty close to the sphere and can be had for a decent price. Also the famous Cuban restaurant from Miami Havana 1957 just opened up. Great budget hotel. IMO it’s not worth spending big bucks on a hotel in Vegas.

Yeah the uber setup at the sphere is pretty shitty

We stayed at Trump International when we went to the Sphere last year. It is a PITA to Uber back especially when you get in the wrong Uber and end up at the Rio instead.

Stay at Venetian or Wynn. Cosmo or Aria are a little further down the strip, but walkable. Breakfast at Mon Ami Gabi (Paris). Lunch at Din Tai Fung. Dinner at Golden Steer, Best Friend or Lotus of Siam.

Agreed, save money on the hotel and spend it elsewhere

The Wynn. The answer to where to stay in Vegas is always the Wynn.

OP taking his wife to Backstreet Boys?

Park MGM is decently priced and is the only non-smoking hotel on the Strip. Good restaurants as well.

Remember the Jake Paul fight in November. NEVER go to Vegas during a fight weekend
NVM. Just saw where the fight is in hotlanta

Easiest and closest is the Venetian/Palazzo - direct walking bridge
Wynn is fairly close too
I just stayed at Cosmo and walked there, was about 30-35 minutes if you don't get lost

If you’re going to see The Wizard of Oz, I’m jealous. That looks like it’s going to be amazing there.
The Venetian is great. Don’t have to leave the resort. Great food. We stayed on the Palazzo side and loved it.
Hilton’s Resorts World is pretty new and has a lot to offer. Close to Venetian.
No need to get a car. Ubers can get you everywhere you need to go.
Shows we liked:
Cirque du Soleil: Ka, O, and Michael Jackson
Spiegelworld: Absinthe, Atomic Saloon
There’s always someone doing residency concerts there.
It’s not hard to research restaurants once you pick your hotel. Look and see what’s at the resort or nearby. Know your budget and go from there.

Agree 100%
My wife and I go to LV about every other year and its always The Wynn. We don't even gamble but the service there is incredible.

Palazzo is closest without the culture that stays at the Venetian.
But, the Wynn is also good option because after the show, everyone funnels to a narrow walkway out of the Sphere…takes forever. If staying at the Wynn, can take the skywalk to the right of the funnel tunnel and be out of there much quicker.

We went to see the Eagles at the Sphere in April and we stayed at the Wynn. Easy in, easy out. Just walk across the street. I've stayed at the Wynn several times and always a great experience. That time of the year, the prices should be ok. Venetian would be my second choice.

Agree with the Wynn.
I will say, the Venetian is almost or is all the way connected to the sphere, but weather will be nice in November.

You can rent an AirBnb condo with kitchenette for less than a hotel at the MGM Signature Tower. They are the 3 gold buildings right behind the MGM and you get access to all the MGM amenities. From there, you just hop on the tram to the Flamingo exit and walk to the Sphere via the Venetian. Easy and safe.
MGM Signature ($1000 a week)
ETA: It seems as in November the rates go up from my listing but they go up everywhere that time of year.
View from my room...gotta ask for a Sphere view when booking to get this.
