So... in the middle of Covid they decided to raise everything from $1.00 to $1.25. As we know that is a 25% increase when inflation was 6-10%. A pretty substantial increase overall.

I went back w wry couple of months for basic cleaning supplies because they are cheaper.

Went back today and everything is now 1.50 except for specialty items now $3 and $5. They have effectively raised prices over 50 % since the middle of covid. It certainly is impacting those less fortunate but makes me curious how the business model can sustain that

If you pay 25 cents a month you can have it paid off in 6 months!

The problem with inflation is it raises the price of all the hidden costs

For instance if an employee makes $10, 10% inflation would be $11 - but the cost to the company is more than $1 increase. They have to pay more in payroll tax, 401k, insurance

As for their business model, Dollar Tree’s stock is up 60% in the last 6 months. Seems to be working

Looks like they need to change their name to the Dollar and a Quarter Store.

Care to explain? My understanding is that real inflation under biden was actually around 6-10percent? Is that wrong?

I do know that raising your price from $1 to $1.25 is a 25 percent increase

How much do they charge for sports cards? When I was a kid a baseball card cost 1-cent. And you got a piece of gum inside the wrapper. The gum was very low quality but I didn't complain.

You should sue them for false advertising, I mean a dollar ain’t $1.50.
