Hunt said they were getting their shite pushed in by our (dominant af) DLine. Then BK mentioned lots of pressure up the middle. Hopefully that means our OTs Tyree Adams and Weston Davis are solid and the transfers Thompson and Braelin just have to work things out in the middle. Will be interesting to see how they do against Clemson’s TJ Parker and Peter Woods who are projected round 1-2 draft picks in 2026.
Start drawing up those bubble screens for Nuss now.

Well the OL is the key to the season imo. I can only hope that they gel quickly. I actually believe this OL will be better at run blocking combined with more effective run schemes. If OL plays well we beat Clemson and are off to the races

This, more than anything, will pay dividends towards finding out who deserves to start on our Oline.

Yes and you would be foolish not to be. For the time being at least. Now that doesn’t mean that they can’t get better and be a good unit by the end of the year. But at the moment the OL is my biggest concern and it’s not particularly close.

Not worried, the talent is there, they've won the 1 on 1 matchups, just need to work as a unit. But the D line will be good!

Every year

It’s a pretty big deal that they play well.

Not really.

Why is no one around here mentioning Mascona said Thompson and Davis made a hole on the right side for a Caden 45 yard TD run?

Slightly. If Nuss really has improved and can move, not worried a bit.

Y’all better be more than slightly concerned with the oline going into game 1

Inexperienced oline combined with Nuss’ tendency to play poorly in loud environments (see A&M and Florida games) and it is going to get ugly in “Death Valley Jr”

If you weren't concerned about the offensive line before hearing that then you haven't been paying attention.

It's been said for months now that the offensive production or lack thereof will come down to the line.

He already has proven he can move within the pocket. It's making the decision to run forward for yardage that's hindered him. You people that think he's a statue obviously don't watch the games closely.

Not until there’s a few more weeks with the same result. I’m glad our defensive line is getting after it. We’re still busting big runs. Get in the film room make the adjustments. It’s literally the first live day.

Yep.

That was the big concern in replacing as many veteran starters as we are. I like to read multiple practice reports from different outlets. You might get different takes or snippets from different guys. But what seems to be a universal take is that the o-line is struggling against this D-line and theyre not running the ball well.

And maybe you can chalk some of that up to well were gonna have a good d-line. But Clemson will too in game 1. And they're absolutely gonna see if thst line is ready for the test.

That's why I hate this game. There's no ramp up break in period against a directional school. We've gotta be at our best in game 1 and I'm not sure we're going to be.

The positive is a proven veteran at center. He will make the right calls. Pressure up the middle should be less overall. Nuss prefers to step up, so this may work in his favor.

The tone of the sports media seems a little less measured and more towards concerned, but Moscona did make a good point that it's practice 6 of fall. There are 21 more practices and the OL has done well in 1v1 indicating they just need to continue to learn to play as a unit.

Not time to panic yet, but there does need to be steady improvement.

To expound on this. This dline has a legit 6- 7 guys that will be drafted one day, McKinley, Breaux, Gooden at DT, Payton, Reliford, Pyburn and either Butler or Guillory too. Not to mention Cobbins seems to having a great fall camp. The Oline is holding its own on one on one drills with these guys, it’s the 11 on 11 that’s killing the oline, which suggests to me they haven’t gelled together yet. It’s concerning that we only got 3 weeks before we see probably the best dline we’ll see all year tho which isn’t exactly a lot of time to figure it out but it’s possible.
