This is ridiculous. Wait for 30 minutes in this heat with young kids only to be turned away? Its like they’re trying to deter people from going at this point.

quote:

I hope security/staff be watching those lines, because I know they been cutting you in front and like more than 10 people. Which is unfair for other families that waited so long for that inconvenience.

Today we spent the day at Liberty lagoon. My daughter was struggling on an attraction so I asked the life guard on duty to assist her in getting down. Life gaurd caught an attitude and said she’s not ready to get down. At this point my daughter is holding on to the ropes for dear life and afraid to let go because she does t want to fall in the water. Life gated remains seated. So I jumped in to help my daughter. I reported the life guard to the manager on duty. The manger went talk her but again she’s still able to work. A few hours later, this same life guard is sleeping at her post! I report it to the manager, manager just moves her to a new post. No accountability at all and she’s still working. It’s a bunch of kids running this place.

I understand there is never a line for the bathrooms. This checks out with the daily shutdowns for "cleaning".

I got news for her: I pay a lot more than four dollar entry to have kids run the pool at the country club. Lifeguarding has always been run by kids.

It's a waterpark, so expect to fall in water at some point.
This mom was looking for a babysitter, not a lifeguard.

Why is this a surprise for a public pool? I dont think I have seen a public pool that wasnt run by kids.

The picture of the pool and the lifeguard speaks volumes. That kind of pool vs. clientele of that area = doom

I’m surprised it can be insured.

Ran a quick internet search for Liberty Lagoon Patrons. Two observations. The OT needs to find out who that lifeguard is in the first pic and why are that many people wearing life jackets in a wading pool ?

apparently lifeguards are supposed to comfort kids during rainstorms

quote:

The staff was rude and making up rules as they go threw the day. The food was cold and they only give a tiny amount . The nachos barely had cheese on them . I was really disappointed that the staff was cold towards the kids and did not comfort them threw the rain . They won't give us updated on getting back in the water or nothing .

quote:

The big water slides were way more fun for me, a full grown adult, than I expected. My 1 year old child really enjoyed the sloped floor so she could explore different depths at her own pace, as well as the other child-friendly play equipment. My only real complaint was that there was a giant smear of human shite on one of the slides in the shallow end. I know that everyone in that place saw it but we all had come to a silent agreement that we'd paid our money and ain't no way that we were going to tattle and ruin our slightly fecal good time.

If you want to catch E. coli, go into the water at Liberty Lagoon.

Don't know about BR, but metro ATL schools start back on Monday, no reason for a water park to keep weekday hours from the 4th of August through Labor Day.

It still amazes me that certain people in this city thought this was going to be a good thing and work out. I could have saved them millions and set up 30
Sprinklers in a grass area under some trees and had better results. A municipality run water park in a city with the demographic of baton will always end like this.
