Applebees just had a commercial in between the Caught Stealing movie and this UFC movie.
This movie was supposed to start fricking 25 minutes ago.
Trailers I can at least somewhat grudgingly accept.
Commercials. Un fricking Acceptable

They have put commercials before movies for over a decade now at least in the biggest chains

They have put commercials before the movie start time. I’ve never seen commercials in the trailer section

The worst thing about movie previews is Nicole Kidman's plastic face.

AMC has 100% been putting trailers and commercials together in their movies. What used to be 15 minutes of previews was a little over 30 minutes for Superman.
People were audibly groaning at every new one that came on. It was ridiculous.

It gets worse. After the standard 15 minutes of announcements and previews, the lights come down. That used to signify the start of the actual movie. But wait! There’s still one more commercial to be played. And these idiots wonder why going to the theater is a fading pastime for much of the country.

The best part of most theaters going to assigned seats, you can arrive late and your seat is still there.
There is no reason to be in a movie theater until 15 mins after the start time, unless you are wanting to see a specific trailer.

Yeah, this was in the news a few weeks ago. Yet another reason for me to not go and drop $100+ for a family of four to see a mediocre movie.

I live 10 minutes from the theater. I leave my house when the movie starts. Most movies actually start 25-30 minutes after stated run time. I usually get to my seat catch one preview then the concessions commercial. Then the movie starts.

With reserve seating now there really isn’t any reason to get there until 20 mins after showtime.

Same, but then A List has a rule that you can only no show movies a certain amount of times a month. I’m not quite sure what that no show criteria is though. So I’ve been getting there closer to when the movie starts

I just want the dang space ship roller coaster back.

Never been to a Cinemark, but I saw that roller coaster thing at other theatres.

I get to the theater fifteen minutes after the posted start time of the movie.
Specific seating at purchase is common now.
It’s not rocket science.

Regal has a rollercoaster. AMC has Kidman. Not sure about the others.

Well, there you go. I thought I was crazy. Superman previews included commercials and movie ads, split pretty much 50-50. And it went a few minutes over 30 minutes.

You'd think I'd be excited since Kidman showing up means the movie is finally fricking starting. But for some reason her little "movies are awesome" commercial makes me irrationally angry.
