Favorite Airport Activities

As I sit here in Atlanta, one of my favorite things to do is find a quiet gate or one where they're just about finished boarding so you can grab a seat easily. It is crazy the amount of people that run up last minute at departure time after the doors closed and act frustrated they didn't make it. Just had a family of 3 with a toddler run up to the gate for Los Angeles and miss the flight. Unfortunately for them, the next flight is sold out and the following one is right in the middle of expected thunderstorms at 245pm...
Another activity I enjoy is walking the terminals. I've walked all the way from F to T just to get the legs moving before a flight. The underground jungle between terminals B and A is kinda cool. Walking the salt lake City airport from terminal A over to terminal B showed me how nice that airport is.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time at the airport?

I like to watch for hotties and avoid the trashy people. I try not to think about how dirty everyone is eating and drinking and spilling food all over the place.

I like walking the terminals and going to the lounges (especially internationally)

Find lounge, eat and drink in lounge, maybe work a bit in lounge. That's about it.

Used to love drinking at a lounge and people watching. Now I don’t drink and hate airports

I like that section down there that they keep dark with the cool lights

Truth be told I just go to the Admiral's Club or Flagship lounge, grab a drink, and wait till my flight is finished boarding before heading over.

Checking out some of the local craft beers on tap at the different airport bars is one of my favorite ways to kill time on long layovers.

Eat and drink in a lounge.

I'll be back in the DFW Flagship next week. Can't wait for them to remodel it.

I never really have enjoyed airport lounges but I also like to take a stroll through all the different terminals

Arriving 30 min before boarding, getting through security, grabbing a water for the flight, and walking to gate and boarding

You're doing it wrong if that's the case.

Yes. Outside of the very high end lounges that have strict entry requirements, they're overrun now.

It is very underwhelming. I don't find much of a difference between it and the Admiral's Club in D.

Well they're basically the same lounge, just one has better food. That generation of design feels like a hospital cafeteria to me.

I've adjusted my tactics because I haven't been able to get into a lounge (priority pass) in the US since I lost *A Gold. I sit before security and pour "water" into the cup of ice I get from Starbucks and people watch until the last minute. Even when I could get in a few years ago, it was insanely crowded at IAH (Terminal D).
