Can we please stop calling this "James Gunn's Superman?" These promos are making it all about this self serving weirdo than the character. Every time I see a headline with this crap it makes me want to see this movie even less, and it is a movie I want to see.

Gunn wants this so much to be about him that he even self inserted his own real life dog breed as the breed of Krypto (at least that's what the interweb rumors say).

Not looking forward to the discussion thread when the actual movie comes out. So many people in here pre-loading their responses.

Certainly a 1 minute clip of a 128 minute long movie is going to tell you all you need to know about its quality.

I think adding the dog was silly. Not for the first movie out

Rumor has it Batman shows up in the movie to fight Superman but changes his mind when he hears the name of Superman's dog, which is the same as the name of his childhood pet.

They have to make it clear to the audience that this isn’t another Zac Snyder abortion.

Sure you're not. You will be in that thread responding quicker than Corinthians in a Disney thread.

I haven't watched any Superman interpretations since Christopher Reeve, but is this normal now to have Superman depicted with emotional outbursts and a lack of self control?

I know I’m in the minority because I liked Man of Steel. I know the tone of this movie will be completely different but if it entertains me as much as Man of Steel I’ll be happy.

I hope so. And maybe the flies in the face of the comics, which I never read, but in every movie or animation of Superman that I've seen growing up, he's always been an incredibly boring character because there is literally nothing on earth that can phase him, so the stakes never feel real.

You can get that uncomplicated, simplistic, emotionally stable shite outta here.
