Haven't heard any reviews on the Lafayette location.. but they're coming to Baton Rouge.
Southern Classic Chicken, a Shreveport-based fried chicken chain, is expanding to Baton Rouge with three locations. The first location is set to open on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard, with others planned for Florida Boulevard and Plank Road. The Sherwood Forest location is expected to open in the next six to nine months. The chain offers a simple menu focused on fried chicken, chicken tenders, and classic sides like mashed potatoes, gravy, coleslaw, and Cajun rice.

Not the same business, but Southern Chicks Cafe & Daquiri on Florida is really good too.

Assuming they can staff the place and it doesn't get robbed to death, I think it has potential to be the most popular restaurant in the country.

It's chicken and it's north of I-12. They'll do great.

I'd be shocked if that one on Sherwood is 6-9 months out. They've been working on it for months already.
It looks like the old Fast Track buildings almost. It's not a large restaurant. I thought I read the other day it would be open "late summer".
It's 5 minutes from our house so I'll have to try it out when the initial rush wears off.

I like the one here in Ruston. I love being called “Bebe” when I order food.

I went to the one in Lafayette a few days ago. Drive thru was full with 2 lines, so I parked and ordered from the window. Solid crunchy & juicy chicken & red beans n rice

That is some strategic location planning there

Pro tip, walk up to the window to order rather than sitting in the mile long drive through. You will get your crack chicken much quicker.

Second pro tip. They typically change grease on Thursday. Buy chicken afterwards.

Eh, probably not at two of those three locations. South Sherwood, maybe.

This as they are pouring the concrete for the parking lot and drive thru as we speak. I would guess they will be open in a few months.
I’m wondering how much traffic is going to back up into Sherwood because of this place.

I was glad to see the old brew bachers building being torn down so this new building could be built.
Of course, the Arby's went belly up so there is now a new vacant building on Sherwood.
Can't win
At least they boarded up the windows so vagrants can't get in. For now, at least.
