despite the desparation of the media to want us to believe so. And its not cause he is playing poorly this week. Its not how many wins (now if he popped up with 7-8 majors then that would change some things) but for now the major wins isnt enough. Its not about any of that. What tiger brought to the table was beyond the sport. The generation of kids playing the game, hell 75% of this damn field is probably tiger created. The fear he brought to his opponents except YE yang, His aura when he steam rolls down the fairway, when he wills the putts in. All the players can say "scotty is by far #1, irons, he is just AMAZING, basically field vs scotty.........ALL DAY LONG
but i dont think any player has ever crumbled just at the sight of his name on the board or his following. its almost an insult to what tiger did.
Not to mention a large portion of the worlds best play on a separate tour.

He probably doesn't frick Waffle House waitresses so that is true

I seriously doubt Scheffler cares or wants to be compared to anyone else. He’s just Scottie Scheffler and he’s really good at golf and probably doesn’t frick anything he can get his hands on.

Who called him Tiger Woods?
People have said he's the closest thing.
A lot of young guys have come through over the years looking like THAT guy but were not able to sustain (Jordan, I'm looking at you), but so far Scottie has been damn consistent...again so far.

a large portion? The not large portion that play on LIV still are playing in the majors, and that's all most people care about regardless when determining all-time greatness. I don't disagree that Scottie is not Tiger

Scottie does seem the first guy tiger that guys are legitimately scared of. Not at the Tiger level yet, but other really good players know if Scottie is in contention in Sunday, they pretty much can’t win

It may be time to sit this one out my man lol

No one has ever called him Tiger Woods. They've simply suggested he could be as good as Tiger Woods by the end of his career.
never mind. You apparently don't know much about golf.

You are comparing Scottie to, arguably, the greatest player of all time. You and the media participating in this need to stop. It’s unfair, even though it has become common in most sports.
Everyone is looking for the next GOAT, and I think that ultimately takes away from what Scottie is in the midst of.

It’s definitely harder to win in big fields (though Scottie plays in almost exclusively small fields outside of majors too), but 4 of the top 20 golfers are on LIV, including 2 of the top 4 or 5 players in the world. Scottie would still be picking off wins at an insane rate, but I don’t think it’s outlandish to think having guys like Bryson in Rahm in the field week to week would have cost him a couple of the last few years

Players don’t crumble. But he runs away from them on the scoreboard so it’s irrelevant. This is some try hard melt that is pathetic.

Tiger's "charisma" is almost completely media created. He has the personality of a doorknob. His greatness was pretty much his transcendent play between the gallery ropes.

Tiger changed the game imo and helped energized more physical specimen athletes to take up golf.

Tigers Woods and Rory Mclroy can go frick each other. So tired of hearing about those 2.

He’s a certified dork off the course, but he was a stone cold killer inside the ropes for two decades. Guys were pissing down their leg at the 2019 Masters, years after he stopped really even playing tournament golf

Lol. A bit early to call this “playing poorly”. He will head to the weekend around T20.
Scottie is not Tiger Woods but what he has done the last year and a half has been close to the level of prime Tiger. Definitely closer than anything Rory, Brooks, DJ, Rahm, Spieth, anyone else you want to name have done.

So why did you choose to make this post right now? Why didn't you make this post 2 weeks ago? If he was currently -2 would you have still made this post?
