That map is taking a lot of liberties. Fort “Cavazos” is up in DFW and China owns all the “farmland” of DFW to Oklahoma?

Do you even understand what salting the Earth means? They can sprinkle all sorts of barely radioactive shite, or biological weapons (like they caught at UM last week) and make it unusable. You don't need to be within 20 miles of an Air Force base to knock out bombers on the ground.

are you familiar with the concept of eminent domain? the notion that you can actually own land in the united states is an adolescent masturbatory fantasy. the hard cold reality is that in the united states of merica n' such is that i can own my house but i rent my land and that's true for me and you, bill gates and the chinamen.

I agree with the point off that tweet but cringe every time I see that stupid fricking map.
The red areas are not “Chinese owned farmland in America” they are counties in which China allegedly owns farmland.
For example in Arizona that is Maricopa and Pinal counties in red, Yuma Proving Ground is in Yuma County. We don’t know if China owns farmland in Gila Bend or Casa Grande or Kearny, which could mean 100-150 miles away or more.
Shitty maps make great memes but don’t necessarily tell the real risk.

It's not whether we need it ourselves, it's that we just don't want the ChiComs to have it. I'm not saying that it needs to be confiscated, but we could make the CCP divest themselves of it.

That map isn’t correct
China owns 227,000 acres of U.S. farmland which is less than 1% of all foreign owned land in U.S.
Now a lot of it is near U.S. military bases and is concerning but the map posted would cover millions acres in the shaded red areas
