I don't understand what people expect Israel to do

Like many I'm not a fan of Israel's outside influence with the United States. That said. Placing myself in the shoes of whomever leads Israel I would love to know what my options are in the Middle East from those who tend to oppose Israel
It's a teeny tiny Nation surrounded by Nations that don't just dislike it they want it to cease to exist. People getting mad about how hard Israel hits back but frankly I'm always of a mind that it seems like they're too nice about it
The only chance Israel has of surviving as a nation is by scaring the shite out of their neighbors. I think it's kind of easy to sit over here in the United States or really anywhere else in the world and talking about what you wouldn't do when there's basically no chance you'll ever be asked to do it. It's like being 350 lb and bragging about not cheating on your wife. Well of course you didn't

It's like prison. Make the other inmates think you are an off the rails crazy mother fricker capable of anything.
I mean, I'm not a fan of Israeli influence either, but you can't blame them for looking out for number 1. After all, that is what I want the United States to do.

I expect them to defend themselves. I wish they would completely eliminate any faction whose entire purpose is to destroy them. My empathy and compassion for aggressive violent "coexist" motherfrickers is pretty much spent. I don't care if it's Hamas, Iranian fundamentalists, or "free Palestine" dipshits. Take the gloves off.

Spot on. If your neighbor won’t ever be happy until you are dead and gone what else can you do other than move? Israel is at an us or them scenario. Frankly, they should just wipe them all off the planet for good and live happily ever after in the shite hole that is the Middle East.
Edit….and to those who will blindly downvote. Explain what other options Israel has? Don’t tell me history of who did what to whom. It doesn’t matter at this point. It’s all about survival and they really don’t have any other options.

Love or hate their influence and tight relationship with the U.S., this is how Israel survives.
The Israelis are so tactical in their thinking and execution. Israel’s military strength can’t come from brute force given its size, but from a culture that values smart, creative, and quick decision-making.

They should have done this on on October 8, 2023

If Isreal wants to continue as a country, they can't allow Iran to create a nuclear weapon.
Its that simple. I can guarantee you that no other ME country wants Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon, which is why no ME country will help Iran militarily.
The job of dealing with Iran falls to Isreal because Iran is a threat to Israel's existence.

They own and control a yuge portion of the world's wealth. They should buy whatever they feel is necessary for their defensive, and offensive purposes. They should do this with their giant piles of cash. They should stop asking the US to foot their bills.
They are the Zelenski that never goes away.

Some people just hate it when the good guys win.

They want Israel to do nothing and get blown up by everybody around them. Why? Because Trump is bad

Its the middle east do its a shite show . Has been for a 1000 years

Its become very clear that Trump is using Israel as a bludgeon to force Iran to make a deal, on our terms. People need to look at what Trump is saying, Iran has no leverage now
Air defense, gone
Nuclear facilities, gone
Nuclear scientists, gone
IRGC leadership, gone
The aid agreement with Israel expires in 2028 and shouldnt be renewed, but people asking what we are getting for our money, this is it right here. Would be nice if our other allies were to ever do the same. We have subsidized trillions in defense for Europe and received nothing but condemnation in return while they propped up the Chinese and Russian economies and helped Iran evade sanctions

They could stop starving and murdering children. Netanyahu’s Likud coalition and the other far right Zionist parties there are pieces of shite. The Middle East will be fricked as long as those dickheads are in charge.
Let’s say all the Arabs and others left Palestine today and Israel moves its borders to wherever they want; tomorrow they still share borders with Muslim countries so what then? How long will that last before we’re doing all this again. It will never be good enough.

Cool. They can do it without our involvement or money, which they clearly don’t even need.

One or the other needs to finish the job.
It's an endless money pit.

Wondering if in the next week we will begin to see the old boomer liberal hippies mind warp and suddenly start DEFENDING nukes.

I support Israel defending itself and only with US involvement where it makes sense for true US national security; not the benefit of war hawks in DC.
While I don’t agree with all of Israel’s tactics, Americans also don’t understand what it’s like to live in a neighborhood where everyone around you wants you and your country eliminated.
We are the global apex predator and we have the added benefit of two beautiful oceans, so we really can’t empathize with what Israelis experience.
That said, the US should help in their defense if they are truly attacked, but we don’t need to be embroiled in these types of offensive exercises.

You are not allowed to be objective here. You either have to hate Israel with all your might or you are sucking Netanyahu's dick, there is no in-between.
For the record, I'm in the same boat as you on this.

Too much common sense in this thread

As long as it takes for those other Muslim countries to start launching rockets at Israel. If they leave Israel alone it would last forever,
