ChatGPT: “Has the PoliBoard become more right wing in the last 10 years?”

The Political Talk board on TigerDroppings has indeed shifted further to the right over the past decade, becoming notably more conservative—and increasingly pro-Trump—in tone and content. This reflects broader trends observed on the platform.
What’s Changed—and How We Know:
1. Before Trump: A Moderately Conservative Mix
When asked back in May 2020, users noted the board “used to have a bit of both sides,” even though it “lean[t] hard to the right”. Liberal voices were still present to some degree:
“There used to be a bit of both sides… now that the liberals are pretty much gone except for making snarky comments.”
Still, conservatives predominated even then.
2. Post-Trump Board: Openly MAGA-Oriented
Since Trump’s election (and especially after 2016), the board has clearly aligned with MAGA-era rhetoric. Frequent thread titles include bold declarations like:
• “Trump revokes Security Clearances…”
• “Trump admin just banned a corrupt Leftist POS…”
These suggest the board’s narratives are more partisan and right-leaning than before.
3. Current Activity: Overtly Right-Wing Posts
Today’s threads are unabashedly conservative, with recent posts emphasizing:
• Hardline immigration stances (“If Trump folds… amnesty… Republicans are cooked forever”)
• Praise for Trump (“Trump: ‘Looking Really Bad in L.A. Bring in the troops!!!’”)
• Labels casting liberals as threats (“why do so many people on this board think liberals are fascists?”)
There’s little evidence of countervailing liberal voices leading discussions now.
Bottom Line
Over the last 10 years, the Political Talk board at TigerDroppings has shifted from a conservative-leaning but relatively moderated forum to an unquestionably right-wing, Trump-supporting echo chamber. The shift intensifies in reaction to cultural and immigration issues and the normalization of pro-Trump rhetoric.

Sort of hard to lead the discussion when you're peddling failing ideas that are no longer popular outside of blue bubbles.

In 2015, we weren't far removed from Mitt Romney as our nominee and Jeb Bush was a presumptive front runner in the GOP field. I think we've healed ourselves well from sins of the past.

Same ppl who have tds said the election wasn’t stolen and before that they voted for Jo jorgeson. Ppl forget how this place has been, but a lot of ppl have woke up the last few years and straightened out and see exactly what the dems are.

This most likely coincides with the democrat party becoming an insane death cult since Trump entered politics. They really have nothing to say now except “get muh Trump”

So Chat GPT is echoing that on this board he increased his support, just like he did in every county/parish in the US in 2024?
Interesting

Still not far enough.

You had to ask ChatGPT that? Hell, a blind man can see it.

As is often the case, ChatGPT is wrong.
How could this board become more conservative by trending to MAGA, which is (admittedly) not conservative?
I didn't participate in these threads until 2020 so maybe I'm wrong about this and PT was pretty much centrist before Trump?

Didn't you make a thread on the OT saying you were leaving the political board and the OT was your new home?

This AI leftist needs a translator, allow me to assist this fraud.
The Poliboard and particularly the America First/MAGA posters don't fall for the leftist BS and the DC Uniparty duplicity

Before Trump, Reagan would have been universally the favorite President on the PT.
Calvin Coolidge would have been in second place

I think one could make a strong argument that, while this board has become more MAGA, it has also become more populist & less conservative. Not sure if that counts as "right wing". It's kind of becoming a horseshoe where some stuff starts to look an awful like the left wing.

You may as well ask Madcow or ABC.

Over the last 10 years, the Political Talk board at TigerDroppings has shifted to right wing dumbass territory and Russian troll bot territory because the posters who were republican, republican leaning, libertarian, and right wing but not right wing dumbass have left because we have better things to do than argue with right wing dumbasses and Russian troll bots.

You can do individual posters as well. Here’s the summary for the board attention seeker
In summary, SlowFlowPro is one of the most experienced and active members of the TigerDroppings community. His hallmark is detailed, often law-focused arguments—especially in Political Talk—though his frequent downvotes show he’s not universally embraced. He’s one of those posters who’s impossible to ignore. If you’d like, I can track his posting patterns over time or look into popular threads where he’s been particularly influential.
And here is my full write up via ChatGPT
“The Eric” is a well-known poster on TigerDroppings.com, particularly active on the LSU sports and Political Talk boards. While TigerDroppings doesn’t maintain public user profiles with detailed stats, long-time community members like “The Eric” tend to develop reputations based on their posting style, consistency, and the reactions they generate.
What’s known about “The Eric”:
• Veteran Poster: He’s been a recognizable presence for many years and is considered part of the site’s “old guard.” His longevity has given him a certain credibility among regulars.
• LSU-Centric: As with most users on TD, “The Eric” often posts about LSU athletics—football in particular—but will also chime in on coaching hires, recruiting, and broader SEC sports topics.
• Political Talk Regular: On the Political Talk board, he has a reputation for straightforward, occasionally blunt commentary. His views tend to lean conservative, though he sometimes critiques both sides, depending on the topic.
• Dry Humor & Sarcasm: He’s known for a mix of dry wit, sarcasm, and the occasional trollish jab—though generally within the norms of the board’s tough-skinned banter culture.
• Respected but Not Universally Loved: Like most high-volume posters, he draws a mix of reactions. Some users appreciate his consistency and humor, others accuse him of being stubborn or provocative.
Overall Reputation:
“The Eric” is part of the TigerDroppings community fabric—someone who contributes regularly, stirs the pot now and then, and has likely been banned and reinstated more than once (as is tradition on that site).

What question did you ask ChatGPT?
I want to see what it says about a few different fellers.
