The SEC Tournament is my favorite week of the year. Early Mornings. Late Nights. The best baseball in America. I know some don't care or feel like it doesn't matter but I love it.

I submit the 2008 comeback vs South Carolina. Matt Clark . This was in the middle of "The Streak" and after watching us find a way to pull that one out of our arse I honestly thought that LSU would never lose another baseball game again. Ever.

You used to be able to get up on top of the dugouts. When we beat Vandy in 2013, there were some great shots of fans celebrating on top. I used to have all the gifs on photobucket till it got the aids.

Didn’t that psycho fan have a 2 x 4 or something with him?

Anytime Ryan Schimpf's name is mentioned anywhere, I immediately think "that's a fair ball! That's a fair ball!."

The final of the 2008 tourney. My first trip to Hoover. Beating Ole Miss to continue the streak.

Also the first round game against USCe was a classic.

The coaches know that for the majority of the teams in the tournament there are more meaningful baseball games to be played after the tournament, and they have to do what they feel is necessary to have their teams in the best spot to win those subsequent games. If that means changing the way they approach the SEC tournament, so be it.

That said, in the heat of the game, the players playing want to win. A hitter is not going to say "the hell with this, I'm not taking this AB seriously" just because it is a tournament. A fielder is going to try to make every play he reasonably can. A pitcher, while he is on the mound, is going to give it his best effort.

Before opening this thread, my immediate thought was the exact thing you posted. CPM sure did dominate the SEC tourney nearly every year.

Todd Peterson is the obvious choice, but the crash course we were on with Vandy in 2013 was pretty cool and then to beat them in the championship was awesome.

Last year's comeback over South Carolina was pretty special. Was down 8-0, came all the way back with a Braswell homer over his old team. Jay got tossed due to catcher's interference call on a steal of home. Then Milam walked it off. Special win that made the Monster!

He would have needed a lot more than that.

Not every highlight but ones I love

2008 - Blake Dean Grand Slam
2013 - Jared Foster throw from RF
2018 - Todd Peterson Double and Fog Game
2019 - LSU destroying Miss St ace while starting a midweek guy

We have done irreparable damage to the South Carolina fan’s psyche when it comes to the SEC baseball tournament

My favorite memory in Hoover is a tie between Todd Peterson's pinch hit double and Jared Foster gunning down the Vandy runner at home plate from right field to end an inning.

LINK to YouTube video of Foster's throw - 45 seconds
